3 PROJECT UPDATES: 1.01 Cox Building Annex - Tony Salcido (3 min) 1. Fax lines at Cox Annex were connected on May 8, Faxes are now operational. CPM is waiting on confirmation on additional line extension numbers, if required. If additional analog lines are not required, work is completed for this scope of work. 2. Retro-commissioning will be completed by August 15, Cox Building Upgrade Tony Salcido (4 min) 1. Interim Migration completed by LACCD-IT on June 14 & 15, PMO reviewed the Change Order Proposal (COP) submitted by HP for the Cisco Network Equipment on July 15, The COP was rejected due to contract language modifications required by HP. 3. CPM and PMO located an active CMAS Contract with NEXUS. This contract will be the vehicle to procure the equipment and the integration of the Cisco Network Equipment. 4. PBA for the procurement of the Cisco Network Equipment and its integration was submitted to PMO on July 18, The PBA was added to the August 6, 2014 Board Agenda. 5. PMO are working on the procurement of Hewlett Packard Server equipment and integration services. LASC IT is to validate and provide comments a.s.a.p. 6. CPM is currently negotiating a non-compensable time extension to the contract the proposed revised Substantial Completion Date is October 31. This negotiation will protect the College and the district from a potential delay claim associated with the delay in the integration of Cisco Network Equipment. CPM will notify the College as soon as this negotiation is completed. Interior 7. Form concrete for Audience Chamber Seating by September 11, Form concrete for L2, Audience Chamber Seating by October 1, Complete Stair #17 by August 20, Erect roof steel for Stair #16 by September 1, Installation of Elevator to Stair #16 complete by September 23, School of Behavioral and Social Sciences Upgrade Gustavo Ripalda (1 min) 1. ARUP completed Functional Testing on April 16, ARUP issued their final commissioning issues and resolution log on May 21, This Log has categorized repairs under the headings of warranty, maintenance and contractor requirements. The contractor requirements log was issued to the G.C. on 5/21/14 and is being reviewed by Climatec. PMO will adopt the warranty and maintenance repairs as part of their campus wide commissioning plan. 3. G.C. comments were received on June 6, 2014 and are being reviewed by ARUP. Schneider Electric provided a proposal for VAV retro-commissioning on July 14, 2014 and this will be discussed at a meeting with PMO School of Career & Technical Education (SoCTE) - Chidi Ugwueze (2 min) 1. The COP for the installation of additional data ports (hardwire) in 202 & 204 is being reviewed & negotiated, the actual work is ongoing. 2. Vibha provided IP addresses, blue phone extension number, elevator phone line and installed the temporary switch in the BDF room; awaiting analog phone lines for copiers/faxes. 3. A revised Substantial Completion date is being negotiated with the contractor due to owner requested additional work 9/15/ Parking lot at the North side of Cox (SoAH) is completed & in use with minor punch list. 5. All work activities are progressing electrical, low voltage, plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal panels, glazing & window blinds, painting, cabinets, bathroom tiles & fixtures, doors & hardware, site concrete & landscaping School of Math and Science Gustavo Ibarra (2 min) 1. CPM met with PMO on 03/19/14 at 1:00 pm PMO has verbally provided status update that the State will approve the hard demolition to begin from 09/01/14. The official approval is yet to be received. 2. PMO & CPM have authorized schedule of values revision. 3. Hard demolition (removal of the structure) will commence On December 22, CPM received the Credit Change Order Proposal Documentation on July 22, A complete Evaluation will follow and the formal recommendation to the College will be ready by the week of August 11, G:\Bi-Monthly Construction Meeting Page 2 of 5

5 1.07 Fitness and Wellness Center Gustavo Ibarra (7 min) 1. CPM and Contractor working on project close-out documents (O&M s, warranties, as-builds, etc ). 2. Project Punch list and closeout is in progress. 3. Campus to provide fax and analog phone line numbers. CPM understands that LASC IT is waiting for confirmation on printer locations. Printer locations to be determined by the College. This information is required by 7/30/ Contractor completed repair of the bleachers. Training was conducted with LASC M&O staff on Wednesday July 23, CPM has transmitted the (2) controllers to LASC M&O. 5. Commissioning of the building to be completed by the second week of August. 6. Security and smart classroom training to be coordinated with the Campus. 7. Contractor to complete the podium installation by Friday July 25, Concrete repairs on the south plaza and waterproof coat to south exterior wall to be coordinated with Campus schedule N/E Quadrant Parking Structure Gustavo Ibarra (1 min) 1. Approval on the SCE Interconnection Agreement still is pending. Monitoring service will be set after approval of SCE and Configuration of the Campus network. 2. DSA issued project certification on May 5, DSA certification for solar panels is pending. 4. CPM currently working on closing out this project MTA Transit Centers - Gustavo Ripalda (1 min) 1. 7 proposals for A/E Services were reviewed by CPM and PMO on July 15, PMO is currently in the process of negotiating the fee with the OWEN Group. 2. CPM will provide a revised project schedule as soon as the fee negotiation with the OWEN Group is reached. 3. The PBA for the A/E Contract is scheduled to be on the August 6, 2014 Board Agenda. 6 1.12 Coordination with SCE - Gustavo Ripalda (1 min) 1. CPM is coordinating the work by SCE. The new Scope of Work for the campus-wide high voltage loop will be done concurrently with the DB-1 site work. 2. CPM pressing SCE and the LACCD Energy Team to get the replacement of the main switchgear project started. 3. CPM received 100% Construction Documents for review and comments were issued to A/E team on October 23, CPM working on path forward for this project based on College s Estimate At Completion (EAC). 5. No update at this time Campus-wide Transportation and Accessibility Improvements - Gustavo Ibarra (1 min) 1. DSA approval of plans and specifications was obtained on May 19, BOT approval of Adoption of Plans & Specifications scheduled for July 9, CPM and PMO working on project initiation forms and bid package. CAMPUS-WIDE: 2.01 Campus Wide - Infrastructure Upgrades: Gustavo Ripalda (3 min) 1. Build-LACCD has asked CPM to prepare a ROM cost for the proposed repairs and improvements for the Domestic Water System. 2. ROM costs completed on September 17, ROM costs were reviewed by CPM and forwarded to the College. 4. CPM Team is working on the final scope of this project. 5. CPM and Commissioning Agent (Arup) to review Schneider Electric s cost proposal for SSEC VAV s provided on June 27, Central Plant Retro-Commissioning Coordination: Gustavo Ibarra and/or Gustavo Ripalda (4 min) 1. ARUP to submit a proposal for upgrading and correcting the campus chilled and hot water infrastructure (distribution), the Building Automation System (BAS) network equipped with Invensys Systems and new buildings currently being installed with Honeywell Lon based Systems to the Central Plant. 2. CPM will coordinate Phase 2 with the new Energy Team at PMO. Project will resume tentatively in the 3 rd quarter of Smart Classroom: Gustavo Ripalda (3 min) 1.
