2 THE PRODUCT Versapanel is a cement bonded particle board comprising of wood particles and cement. Versapanel is smooth in texture and light grey in colour. Versapanel is a T2 cement bonded particle board and is intended for use in both internal or external situations, type T2 boards have high levels of performance in the presence of moisture and have a high resistance to fire. Versapanel is a versatile material that is suitable for a wide range of applications and represents an advantage in building board technology to meet increasingly stringent building regulations and demands for higher standards of durability, safety and economy. SPECIFICATION Versapanel is available in three types: Unsanded - Calibrated - Primed/Sealed Unsanded is suitable for most types of decorative finishes. Calibrated is standard production which is then simultaneously sanded on both sides, it is used when a laminate or veneer is to be applied or where a product of minimal thickness tolerance is required. Prime/Sealed for flooring applications. For more details refer to the Versapanel Technical Manual or Web pages. Versapanel contains no hazardous volatiles, is asbestos free and its process dust is non aggressive and can be planed, sanded, drilled, routed, nailed and screwed.

3 APPLICATIONS INTERNAL Versapanel board is workable, durable and has three main attributes - RESISTANCE TO: FIRE - SOUND - MOISTURE Versapanel may be used in wet areas. It has anti-fungal properties and is therefore ideal for cold storage, food processing and other similar areas where hygiene is of importance. Versapanel is the first choice for internal walls and partitions in domestic or public buildings due to its impact resistance, fire resistance and sound reduction properties. EXTERNAL Versapanel has proven performance as an external cladding material. Versapanel has been successfully used in prefabricated panel construction - both single skin and sandwich application. Also due to the excellent racking properties, the board may be utilised as a structural member in a composite buildingapplication. Versapanel in an untreated state is weather resistant even if subjected to freeze/thaw conditions. However, in general, a surface treatment isrecommended for external applications. A wide range of paint, tile and textured finishes may be used. Typical examples: FLOORS & CEILINGS PARTITIONS EXTERNAL CLADDING VERSAPANEL FIRE PERFORMANCES As a single board material VERSAPANEL is probably one of the most versatile flat sheet materials available when it comes to applications in areas which have to be fire rated. Versapanel wide range of thicknesses combined with its unique qualities of: Resistance to Moisture - Resistance to Impact - Acoustic Performance - Internal or External - Smooth Surfaces to both Faces, make it a very cost effective solution for fire protection. Versapanel has been tested in accordance with the BS476 which is the test relevant to building materials and structures. Versapanel has 1 hour and 2 hour fire reports - ASTM E 119/UL 263 for floors/ceilings assembly. VERSAPANEL IS A CLASS O BUILDING BOARD. For further design information and for details of tests in fire performance applications please contact our Technical Sales Department.

4 VERSAPANEL used throughout construction as External Cladding, Flooring and Acoustic Ceiling. Also as a lining in high impact areas, for this prestigious contract. VERSAPANEL used as External Cladding for Joint Free Flexible surface treatment to be applied. Class O Fully External/Internal Board Moisture Resistant Impact Resistant Range of Thickness Durable Acoustic Performance Rot Resistant VERSAPANEL IS USED WORLDWIDE AS A HIGH PERFORMANCE FINISH TO SIP PANEL MANUFACTURE. VERSAPANEL used in an acoustic roof lay-up system.
