1 FOR: Owatonna, MN. Sound Absorption CONDUCTED: Page 1 of 6 ON: Large Motorized Enclosure - Retractable Drapery - Outer Fabric is 22oz. Encore Velour - 4" Airspace - Inner Fabric is Quilted Material TEST METHOD The test method conformed explicitly with the requirements of the ASTM Standard Test Method for Sound Absorption and Sound Absorption Coefficients by the Reverberation Room Method: ASTM C423-09a and E Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories has been accredited by the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) under the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for this test procedure (NVLAP Lab Code: ). A description of the measuring procedure and room qualifications is available separately. DESCRIPTION OF THE SPECIMEN The test specimen was designated by the manufacturer as Large Motorized Enclosure - Retractable Drapery - Outer Fabric is 22oz. Encore Velour - 4 Airspace - Inner Fabric is Quilted Material. A visual inspection by Riverbank staff verified the manufacturer's description, further disclosing a motorized enclosure measured as mm (29.0 in.) high by 1.73 m (68.25 in.) wide and mm (19.0 in.) thick. The deployed banner consisted of (outer) 1.63 m (64.0 in.) wide by 1.27 mm (0.05 in.) thick Velour and (inner) 1.50 m (59.0 in.) wide by 7.62 mm (0.30 in.) thick quilted fabric. The outer and inner fabrics were spaced mm (4.0 in.) apart by design. A total of 4.09 m (161.0 in.) of the banner was deployed from the enclosure. The bottom of the banner was suspended mm (12.0 in.) from the floor. The overall dimensions of the specimen as measured were 4.09 m ( in.) high by 1.63 m (64.00 in.) wide and mm (4.00 in.) thick. The area used in the calculations was 6.65 m 2 (71.60 ft 2 ). The weight of the entire specimen as measured was kg ( lbs), an average of kg/m 2 (3.32 lbs/ft 2 ). The specimen was tested in the laboratory's m 3 (10,311.0 ft 3 ) test chamber. The room temperature at the time of the test was 21.4±0.0ºC (70.6±0.0ºF) and 60.9±0.1% relative humidity. The atmospheric pressure was 98.3 kpa.

3 Page 3 of 6 MOUNTING G-210 The specimen was tested as a drapery, hung parallel to the test surface with approximately mm (8.25 in.) of airspace behind. The specimen was suspended from a motorized enclosure that was hoisted 4.39 m (173.0 in.) from the floor. The enclosure prevented sound from passing over the top of the specimen. 4 Page 4 of 6 TEST RESULTS (Continued) The sound absorption average (SAA) is defined as a single number rating, the average, rounded to the nearest 0.01, of the sound absorption coefficient of a material for the twelve one-third octave bands from 200 through 2500 Hz, inclusive. The noise reduction coefficient (NRC) is defined from previous versions of this same test method as the average of the coefficients at 250, 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz, expressed to the nearest integral multiple of Tested by Marc Sciaky Experimentalist Report by Chris Nottoli Acoustician Approved by Eric P. Encore Velour - 4 Airspace - Inner Fabric is Quilted Material (See Full Report) Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories is accredited to perform sound absorption coefficient measurements for the frequency range of 100Hz to 5,000Hz. However, we calculate sound absorption values at additional test frequencies as a service to our clients. Although these measurements were made in accordance with the procedures described in ASTM C423-09a, they do not qualify as part of the standard. Since the results are representative of the test environment only, they are unofficial and intended for research and development guidelines rather than for commercial purposes. The sound absorption values at additional frequencies were as follows: RAL-A Absorption 1/3 Octave Center Frequency Coefficient Total Absorption (Hz) (Sabins / ft 2 ) (Sabins) END
