The assessment is for the Sips panel only and external treatment should be dealt with separately. 2 Sips panels are available in widths from mm Standard Wall Heights are available at 2.4, 2.7, 3.0, 4.8, 5.1, 5.5 and 6.3m All Sips are available in the following thickness: 150, 175, 200, 225 and 250mm Roofing Sips are available up to 6.5m long. The structural details and package has been checked found to be satisfactory. The load of 30KN per panel was found to be a minimum loading. Support for steelwork can be incorporated into the panels and is designed accordingly. Loading tests may be required in certain instances to verify these loadings on an individual project basis. The panel make up has been verified that it is treated and will perform in fire conditions to comply with structural integrity and insulation as required in Approved Document B. The panel system is treated to prevent moisture ingress during construction and once covered in accordance with the manufacturers instructions will perform as required in accordance with the Approved Document The panel system provides good sound resistance qualities in accordance with the Approved Document, when used internally the wall and floor systems comply with the sound decibel reduction detailed The thermal resistance of the system complies with the requirements of the Approved Document either on its own merit or as a part of a combined wall/floor/roof system. The Sips Ltd Structurally insulated panel relies on other construction products, materials and components to form a complete wall, floor and roof element. Structural design of the building /element incorporating the SIP shall be in accordance with the relevant Eurocode Details of additional protection measures to resist moisture/contaminants from the ground and from moisture outside the building are site specific: to be determined by location, subsoil and exposure conditions The installation must be undertaken in strict accordance with Sips Ltd details and specifications and by competent installers trained, registered and monitored by Sips Ltd The thermal insulation performance of this system should be considered in context of the contribution made to the overall performance of the wall structure. Appropriate thermal analysis will be provided in each instance to demonstrate continued compliance with Approved Document L Structural steelwork calculations and timber calculations where steelwork is resting on SIP panelling as determined by individual design of proposals. Notification that the structures have been completed and signed off by the manufacturer and are in accordance with the individual design.
