Eah appliation shall inlude by 3 omplete sets of onstrution drawings. 4. Eah appliation shall inlude a letter from the property owner authorizing the trash enlosure. All ontrators and sub-ontrators doing work in Romeoville shall be registered, insured and bonded with the Village. 2 The trash enlosure shall be shown. It shall be labeled and dimensioned. the proposed struture The enlosure may only be loated in a rear yard or a side yard. a a the enlosure loated in a rear yard or a side yard d b b YARDS a: Front b: Rear : Side d: Corner Side The enlosure may be attahed to the prinipal building. If it is not attahed, it shall be or not less than 10 feet from the nearest point on the prinipal building. The enlosure shall be not less than 5 feet from any other freestanding struture The enlosure shall be loated on a permanent, durable, and dustless surfae (asphalt and onrete). It shall be graded and drained so as to dispose of all surfae water without detriment to surrounding uses. The trash enlosure may not be on an easement, exept with the written permission of the Village and all utility ompanies having rights to the easement. The trash enlosure shall be not less than six (6) feet in height. The trash enlosure shall be a solid wall on three sides and a solid single or double aess gate on the fourth side if the prinipal struture on a parel was onstruted after August 6, Please refer to Figure 1 on Page 3 for illustration. When the prinipal struture on a parel was onstruted prior to August 6, 2003, the masonry walls may be substituted for vinyl fening or wood fening that inorporates a deorative element, suh as a dog-eared or arhed top, top and bottom rail, shadowbox onstrution, or a lattie detail. Please refer to Figure 2 on Page 3 for illustration. The gate shall be a solid single or double aess gate of rigid onstrution that inorporates ross braing. Please refer to Figure 3 on Page 3 for illustration. Fening shall be onstruted of vertially-run slats that are not less than three (3) inhes and not more than five (5) inhes in width. The enlosure and the gate shall be a single neutral earth-tone olor that oordinates with the olor of the prinipal struture. All wood fening used shall be onstruted of deay-resistant exterior-grade treated lumber, suh as edar, redwood,, or, and be painted or stained In total, no more than 85% of the property an be overed with building, strutures, or pavement. Fene posts of any type shall be not less than 42 inhes in depth and 8 inhes in diameter. Provide a detail for the enlosure gates. If the enlosure is masonry, provide a footing detail showing how the walls will be supported. All water shall be siphoned out of the holes prior to inspetion. All piles of earth (soil) exavated from the post holes or footing shall be removed from the site before the issuane of a Certifiate of Oupany. A trash enlosure may not be installed over a storm sewer line. Permit & Inspetion Requirements Please read the requirements and plae a in the box to the left to onfirm that you understand. The Building Permit shall be posted in the building s window where it an be seen from the street. Eah phase of onstrution shall be inspeted and approved by the Village of Romeoville prior to proeeding to the next stage of onstrution. Updated Page 4 of 5

Failure to all for required inspetions may result in a STOP WORK ORDER. Should you fail an inspetion, a re-inspetion fee shall be paid before ontinuing work and before sheduling another inspetion. INVOICED AFTER 5 DAYS A FINAL INSPECTION SHALL BE PERFORMED AFTER THE ENCLOSURE HAS BEEN COMPLETED. One the inspetion passes, a Certifiate of Completion will be issued. The enlosure may not be used until the Certifiate of Completion has been issued. The projet shall start within ninety (90) days from the date the permit is issued and ompleted within one hundred and eighty (180) days.
