Any additional materials not listed must to such as applicable aggregate or profile must be approved by technical department representative of Oak Ridge Foam & Coating Systems, Inc. 4.0 SURFACE PREPARATION - In all cases, designated concrete surfaces are to be clean, dry and stable and have been approved by the site inspector representative before specified traffic membrane system is installed Prep work to conditioning the concrete substrate may include shot blast, scraping in accordance with SSPC- SP1. Conditioning of the concrete substrate shall remove all deposits of surface contamination such as dirt, grease, oil and water, etc Consult with, manufacturer s technical department for areas of concrete surfaces that have been repaired for allowable cure time before commencement of Oak Ridge s traffic membrane system. Testing for when curing has been achieved is as follows: A. Plastic film (ASTM D-4263) An 18 by 18 piece of 4 mil (min) polyethylene should be taped to the substrate and allowed to remain for 16 hours (min). Any evidence of moisture accumulation is unacceptable and requires further dry time Calcium Chloride (ASTM F1869) A pre-weighed (approximately 30 gm+/- 0.1gm) cup of anhydrous calcium chloride is placed on a section of the substrate and covered with a sealed canopy of hours. The cup is the reweighed and any increase in weight is converted to a value based upon the covered surface area and the time exposed. Three (3) pounds of water per 1000 ft.2 per 24 hours is the maximum acceptable amount of moisture that can be present for the concrete surface to be coated All concrete surfaces shall be abrasive blasted in accordance with SSPC-SP 13 or ASTM D To produce a clean and roughened surface finish. Care should be taken to make sure all loose concrete is completely removed. Alternate surface preparation includes: with grit blast, high or ultra-high water blasting and acid etching All loose surface debris and contamination shall be completely removed by means of vacuuming and/or sweeping or blowing. The substrate surface shall be clean, dry and free of contaminants Surface defects such as pinholes, rock holes, bug holes, mold ridges, etc. shall be repaired. Any open joints or cracks 1/8 wide or greater shall be treated using elastomeric Oak Ridge Foam & Coating Systems, Inc

7 caulk and/or backer rod. All moving cracks shall be treated in accordance to industry standards. Consult with Oak Ridge technical service department Before proceeding with the Oak Ridge waterproof system, inspect the prepared concrete substrate. The site representative shall Sign off as substrate is approved for receiving the specified system. 5.0 APPLICATION/ INSTALLATION 5.01 The installation of the Oak Ridge traffic membrane shall be accomplished in the presence of or with the advice of Oak Ridge technical department representative for any warranty consideration Apply one coat of OR611 if concrete substrate is on grade or below grade at a minimum rate of 300 sq. ft. per gallon. If concrete substrate is above grade, application of the OR611 may not be required. Consult with Oak Ridge technical department representative if applicable Apply one coat of ORPR811 primer to the concrete surfaces at a minimum rate of 300 sq. ft. per gallon. For cure time and method of application, consult with the printed data or the technical department representative Detail work: Install approved urethane caulking as required and tool surface smooth to any penetrations and around floor drains. At termination points, terminate in a clean defined line using method of tape off before coating applied. In all cases, the dry mil thickness of the applied coating shall be in complete compliance with the supplied specification. All detail work is to extend up vertical surfaces a minimum of 12 inches Stripe in all areas of transitions, penetrations and points of terminations before applying the general field of the coating application. The rate of applications shall be a minimum of 1 gal/sq. or 16 dry mils Apply the base coat OR90WPM to the overall field of the prepared concrete surfaces at a minimum rate of 1 gallon per 100 sq. ft. achieving a minimum of 16 dry mils. in thickness of the applied coating. Follow the instructions noted on the product data sheet for when to apply additional coating Apply a second base coat OR90WPM in a slower version at a minimum rate of 1 gallon per 100 sq. ft. or 16 dry mils. for the broadcast application of the profile. Immediately broadcast 15 lbs. of aggregate per 100 sq. ft. into the wet coating. Allow the wear course to cure At areas of drive paths, turn radiuses and entry and exits, apply a second broadcast application at a minimum rate of 1 gallon per 100 sq. ft. with another broadcast of aggregate installed for heavy traffic wear areas. Areas of drive paths turn radiuses and entry and exit areas will total a minimum of Dry mils of base coat applications. Remove all loose aggregate from the installed wear surfaces so that areas are clean, dry and stable Apply a topcoat finish layer of ORAL-1 Aliphatic single component urethane to the entire installed coatings application at a minimum rate of 1.5 gallons per 100 sq. ft. achieving a minimum DFT of 20 dry mils. Oak Ridge Foam & Coating Systems, Inc

8 a. When complete, the total dry mils. for the Oak Ridge traffic membrane shall be a minimum of as follows: in accordance with published % of solids by volume for products listed and addition of profile: 40 dry mils. in areas of parking 76 dry mils. in areas of turn radiuses and entries and exits. 6.0 APPLICATION/ INSTALLATION upon receipt of the following including but not limited to a final inspection conducted by Oak Ridge Foam & Coating System s representative jointly with the contractor of record and the site inspector for the owner of the project Request of warranty form has been submitted and accepted by Coating Holdings LTD Copies of requested daily control reports, documented dry mil confirmation, and copies of any inspection reports filed by the technical department representative and/or the site inspector representative Payment of materials from Oak Ridge in full Once all material has been submitted, reviewed and approved, the requested warranty will be forwarded to the contractor for him to sign the warranty and to have the owner s representative sign as well.
