3 ONSITE H-FRAME USE FAQs AND REGULATORY SAFETY GUIDELINES CLIP ON LADDER Width to height ratio of 1:4-1:6 is recommended best practice. Climbing up the H-Frame is not compliant. Easy Access H-Frame Scaffolds include clip-on ladders as standard. OUTRIGGERS Required for single width platforms of 3m or higher. Required for double width platforms of 5m or higher. TOEBOARDS Mandatory for platforms of 2m or higher to prevent accidental dislodgement of tools/equipment. Included as standard with Easy Access towers of 2m or higher. PLAN BRACE (Diagonally bracing the tower base) Required to retain the horizontal integrity of mobile towers. Included as standard with Easy Access towers. MADE IN NEW ZEALAND ISO9001 ACCESS HATCH PLATFORM Must be used in conjunction with a clip on ladder. Included as standard with Easy Access Towers. SCAFFOLDING TICKETS Towers with a design height over 5m must be erected by a qualified person. LOCKING CASTERS Caster brakes must be engaged before use. 12 MOBILE SINGLE WIDTH SCAFFOLDS & PLATFORMS Easy Access single width mobile scaffolds have been a favourite of tradies for many years, and are a common sight on construction sites throughout New Zealand. The modular design allows base Multi Mobile models to be easily modified for use at multiple heights. Add-on packs provide access from an uneven surface for continuous access around building corners, or to create a roof edge protection system. For indoor use, the standard single level Multi Mobile scaffold will fit through doors and compact scaffolds fold down and roll-away for easy storage and transportation. 13 ONSITE MOBILE SINGLE WIDTH SCAFFOLD USE FAQs AND REGULATORY SAFETY GUIDELINES GUARDRAILS ARE REQUIRED ON ANY PLATFORM OVER 1M MM410 with a 3.7mHigh Platform includes 6 guardrails - 4 for the upper level and 2 on the lower level as required. Guardrails may only be removed if the scaffold is within 300mm of the working face adjacent the scaffold. TOEBOARDS Toeboards are required where an object can fall more than 2m. OUTRIGGERS Easy Access Multi Mobiles are supplied with the outriggers as standard where the height to width ratio is more than 2:1 as regulations require for single width scaffolds. INDUSTRIAL SCAFFOLD SYSTEMS ACCESS LADDERS Easy Access Multi Mobile platforms may be accessed by the end frame rungs inside the bay. However a separate access ladder is available for the MM410 models if required 3.7m LOCKING CASTERS Easy Access Multi Mobiles are standard with locking casters, and adjustable casters are also available. Brakes must be securely locked before using the scaffold. 700mm CHECK YOUR SCAFFOLD Scaffolds should be checked for signs of damage or missing components every time they are assembled. 1.7m SCAFFOLD TOWER The standard of compliance for scaffolds is as/nzs 1576 : KG LOAD RATING COMPLIES TO AS/NZS 1576 : 2010 NB.
