Pre-bid Attendance: The list of Pre-Bid Conference attendee signatures is attached. 2. Description of Work: The work included in the project consists of construction of a 25 meter (82.02 ft.) shooting range with a 3 sided eyebrow. The work included in the project includes but is not limited to the following estimated approximate quantities: a. 2,000 cubic yards of earthen excavation. b. 700 cubic yards of earthen embankment fill. c ft. tall (inside) x 6 ft. wide (inside) x 72 ft. long reinforced concrete box culvert firing lane tunnels. d. 300 square yards of reinforced concrete pavement e. 400 tons of 2 inch crushed aggregate f. 150 tons of Type 1 aggregate base g. 60 tons of 1 inch clean aggregate h. 900 tons of 3/8 inch minus waste lime Page 1 of 3

2 i. 125 linear feet of 4 SDR 35 perforated pipe j. 260 linear feet of 4 SDR 35 solid pipe k. 530 cubic feet of rubber mulch l. 250 linear feet of rubber curb m. 20 linear feet of corrugated metal pipe n. 2,500 square feet of filter fabric o. 400 linear feet of silt fence p. Seeding and Mulching of all earthen disturbed areas q. All materials, design, labor, etc. required to construct the 3-sided 144 ft. long x 24 wide eyebrow cover Disclaimer: The quantities listed in the Description of work (2. a-q) above are approximations and are to be used to formulate a general idea of the size of the project. It is the Contractor s responsibility to inspect the site and contract documents in order to estimate actual quantities required for constructing the project. The Contractor shall be responsible for all work shown on the Contract Drawings as specified in the Contract Specifications. No payment additions or reductions will be made for incorrect quantity approximations shown within this Addenda Contract Document. 3. Box Culverts The 6 (inside) wide x 8 (inside) tall x 72 ft. long concrete box culverts may be constructed with precast concrete sections or cast-in-place or a combination of both precast and cast-in-place. The box culvert floors shall be smooth finished with no protrusions in the line of fire. Regardless of construction methods used, shop drawings signed and sealed by the qualified professional engineer responsible for their preparation will be required. 4. 3/8 minus Waste Lime Thickness and Compaction The layer of Waste Lime used in the backstop shall be a minimum of 42 inches thick and loosely placed (uncompacted). 5. Corrugated Metal Pipe A 20 ft. x 18 Corrugated Metal Pipe meeting all requirements of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction shall be placed and aligned with the road ditch beneath the 6 ft. wide concrete walkway leading to the firing line. 6. Used Railroad Ties Upon visual approval by the Owner unrotten intact pre-used 7 x 9 x 8-0 Railroad Ties will be allowed for construction of the back wall of the range backstop. 7. Eyebrow - Shop drawings signed and sealed by the qualified professional engineer responsible for their preparation will be required for the trusses and any other structural portion of the eyebrow that varies from the plans. This eyebrow has three closed sides. Page 2 of 3

3 8. Range Floor Grades The 99 ft. long x 122 ft. wide Range Floor shall have a +2.0 percent and a -1.0 percent cross slope (left to right) down range grade. The range floor edge slopes shall be no steeper than 4 to Soil Borings There are no soil borings for this site. The maximum depth of excavation expected is approximately 9 feet. Should rock as defined in Section of the Contract Specifications be encountered a Contract Change will be initiated as outlined in Article 4 of the Contract General Conditions ft. Walkway Crown The 6 ft. wide concrete walkway beginning at Sta and ending at Sta of Centerline Range shall be crowned to drain at a slope of less than 2 percent. The fill slopes associated with construction of the walkway shall be no steeper than 3 to Silt Fence The Contractor shall install and maintain a maximum of 400 linear feet of Silt fencing or other Engineer approved sediment controls in order to minimize sediment discharge and erosion. 12. Treated Lumber All lumber shall be preservative treated as indicated in Section PART 2.3 of the Contract Technical Specifications. ATTACHMENTS: 1.
