They are non-pollutant, compatible with their environment and ecologically harmless. The products fully comply with the requirements of the European standard SIST EN 492. Handling and Installation Due care should be taken when transporting, unloading, carrying and storing the slates to avoid any damage. Products should be stacked on a level surface and protected with suitable material from weather and dust. Adequate airflow through and around the stack should be allowed for. Slates should be lifted off the stack, not dragged. Swisspearl slates should be installed by professionals duly trained in working with cement composite roofing slates. Slates must be fixed according to the instructions in the specific installation manual. Guarantee Swisspearl roofing slates are guaranteed for a 10 year period, provided that all manufac turer recommendations valid at the time of installation regarding planning, construction, storage and installation of the product are fully complied with and that only fasteners and other accessories specified by the manufacturer are being used. This guarantee covers weather resistance, impermeability, frost resistance and colour coating, allow ing for natural ageing. During this period faulty Swisspearl roofing slates will be replaced ex works free of charge.
