PROJECT CONCEPTUAL PLAN 1.0 PROJECT CONCEPT Gopanpally Campus is the corporate office for WIPRO, one of India s largest IT firms is located in Hyderabad. With 101 acres of site land, the project embodies the historical and cultural references of the region whilst being contextually relevant to these modern times. The morphology adopted for the project is that of disintegrated courtyards. Rectangular volumes are stacked and rotated to create secondary courts whilst being planned around a central main open collection courtyard. The building is North-South oriented and the East-West edges are kept open to enhance wind movement and natural ventilation. Low wall-to-window ratios and narrow floor plates ensure solar ingress whilst ensure low thermal absorption. The project is executed in earthy hues of clay bricks that also have low U-values, and make the façade energy efficient. Taking inspiration from the traditional waterfront structures such as baoils and ghats, a strategy to temper the micro-climate was developed. Water is introduced as an experimental layer throughout the stepped landscape to bring down temperatures using evaporative cooling. Temperatures of the augmented breeze across the site are lowered as they are flow through a series of water curtain features, to mimic the working principles of a desert cooler. With an estimated EPI of 30, this development sets to be net zero on water and waste to landfill. 2.0 ASSESSIBILITY The project is directly connected to Kanchi-Gachibowli road, Tellapur road and well connected to the existing 24 m wide road of NH-9(Hyderabad-Mumbai road, Nehru Outer Ring Road & NH-7 (Hyderabad-Bangalore road). The proposed project site is earmarked for said development and the proposed project is planned and designed as per the regulations and procedures laid down by the Local Authority. 3

The project site is almost plain with minor undulations. The existing and proposed contour maps are provided in Figure-4 and Figure-5 respectively. 4.0 MASTER PLAN The Proposed Project is well planned with infrastructure facilities like adequate parking provisions at building basement level, wide internal driveways, rain water harvesting facilities, greenbelt development and other amenities. An advanced STP of MBR technology with adequate capacity is envisaged. Solid waste management shall be as per MSW (Handling and Management) Rules, The proposed project master plan is provided in Figure-6. The proposed building elevation and building section drawings are provided in Figure-7 and Figure-8 respectively. The basement parking plan is provided in Figure OCCUPANCY DETAILS The proposed 1 Million sft building will comprise of 15 floors and 2 basements. The proposed IT building is designed to occupy 11,000 employees. The occupancy details are provided in Table as under: 9

Energy consumption is estimated at 5 kva per square foot. Proposed power will be drawn from 33 kv dual power feed from TSPDCL. Backup power supply will be met from captive DG sets of 5x2 MVA, including 1 standby DG set for the building and 2x2 MVA including 1 standby DG set for data center. The energy consumption will be minimized by using energy efficient LED light fixtures, maximize day lighting, intelligent light control with occupancy sensors. Orientation specific solar shading design Solid façade areas are targeted to achieve desired u-value as per ECBC, with high thermal mass to reduce peak-time heat loads Window to wall ratio is <30% DG fuel: External storage of approx. 45 kld for 20 hours backup for building and 25 kld for 48 hours backup for data centre is envisaged. Used oil from the DG sets will be given to authorized recyclers. 16

No storage of hazardous chemicals (as per MSIHC rules) will be done, except HSD required for DG sets and LPG banks, for which quantity stored will be below the threshold limit specified in the MSIHC rules. Necessary permission will be obtained from the Explosives department. Proposed Solar Panel Solar street lighting & rooftop solar hot water system are considered in the proposed project. As per the design approximate 2950 sq.m of Terrace area is available out of which 50% space can be considered for Solar panels. It is proposed to generate 1% of the total load solar power with the available terrace area. Water Fresh water requirement quantity is estimated at 396 KLD. Water Source: During the construction stage, water will be sourced primarily through tankers arranged by the contractor. During the project operational stage, water shall primarily be sourced though HMWSSB connection as well as rainwater harvesting water. Water Storage Municipal water will be collected into Raw water tank. Water treatment such as filtration, Softening & dosing will be done for domestic water required for use. Water required for flushing will be used after filtration and dosing only. Water tank is located in the basement & will be having compartments for Raw, Treated & for Firewater storage. Water Distribution Domestic, Hot water supply and flushing water supply will be distributed to various points through Hydro pneumatic system. GI C class pipes will be used for exposed piping. Copper pipes with insulation will be used for concealed piping for hot & for cold water. 17

The hydro pneumatic system comprising of vertical inline pumps of required capacity and head mounted on a common base frame along with control panel including variable frequency drives. Hydro pumps will maintain constant pressure by running at variable speeds to match the actual water consumption. Delivery from the hydro pneumatic systems will be taken through different shafts to all floors of the building at constant pressure. Separate hydro pneumatic system has been proposed for lower and upper zone for ensuring required pressure. Water balance chart is provided as under. 18
