TWO TO THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS October 3, 2016 The following changes, additions, or deletions shall be made to the following documents; all other conditions shall remain the same. I. SPECIFICATIONS Item# 1. SECTION 01810, COMMISSIONING A. Page 6, Paragraph 3.3, Field Start-Up and Testing Add Paragraph 3.3, C.13 as follows: 13. Thermal Energy Storage TES-2 Tank 2. SECTION 15080, MECHANICAL INSULATION Delete Section 15080, Page 19 and substitute the enclosed revised Section 15080, Page 19 dated 10/03/ SECTION 15181, HYDRONIC PIPING A. Page 3, Paragraph 2.1, Manufacturers Add Paragraph 2.1, A.4 as follows: 4. Seismic L Shaped Connectors: a. Hyspan, Inc. b. Metraflex, Inc. c. Unisource Manufacturing, Inc. d. Or equal. B. Page 6, Paragraph 2.7, Hydronic Specialties Add Paragraph 2.7, F as follows: F. Seismic L Shaped Connectors: Type 321 stainless-steel hose with type 304 stainless steel braid, carbon steel elbow; 150-psig minimum working pressure and 250 deg F maximum operating temperature. Page 8, Paragraph 2.10 Source Quality Control Delete the following words from Paragraph 2.10, G: The chiller shall be started with 65 degree F entering condenser water to simulate start up at off peak conditions. Excluded from this project scope of work is the filling and commissioning of TES-2 which shall validate tank operation. Filling and commissioning of TES-2 tank shall be performed by a third-party hired directly by the University under separate contract. 2. Contractor shall coordinate with the third-party commissioning TES-2 tank in the execution of their work if Bid Alternate #1 is selected for installation by the University. 3. Mineral-Fiber Pipe Insulation, Type I: 3 inches thick INDOOR, FIELD-APPLIED JACKET SCHEDULE A. Install jacket over insulation material. For insulation with factory-applied jacket, install the field-applied jacket over the factory-applied jacket. B. If more than one material is listed, selection from materials listed is Contractor's option. C. Piping, Exposed: 1. PVC, Color-Coded by System: 30 mils thick. C-101 Updated catch basin detail to have pipe penetrating through sidewall instead of bottom. M-101 Added photo of existing 12" CHWS&R connections to TES 1 for reference for contractor to pipe TES2 in similar way. Added points of connection photo of TES 2 piping. Added diagrammatic existing empty conduit quantity and location. M-611 Added 12"CHWS&R pipe connections and seismic L-loops to TES 2. 1 of 1

7 EAST CAMPUS PLANT - 4TH CHILLER INSTLLATION ADDENDUM NO. 2 QUESTIONS & ANSWERS (As of October 3, 2016) Q1: Sheet E-101 shows a duct bank being intercepted and re-routed between an existing 277/480V switchboard and an underground vault. Is the new vault new or existing? A1: The vault is existing and shall remain. Q2: Is the existing duct bank encased in concrete? A2: Record drawings indicate 4 C with slurry cap. Q3: Once intercepted and re-routed, there is direction to remove the existing duct bank for the installation of the new cooling towers, who will be doing this demolition work? A3: This project Contractor Q4: Sheet E-131 indicates MC2A-3 as the feeder for CHWP-5. The feeder schedule on sheet E-600 indicates MC2A-4 for CHWP-5, please clarify. A4: Feeder schedule on sheet E-600 is correct. Q5: Sheet E-131 indicates MC2A-2 as the feeder for CWP-5. The feeder schedule on sheet E-600 indicates MC2A-3 as the feeder for CWP-5, please clarify. A5: Feeder schedule on sheet E-600 is correct. Q6: LOAD SUMMARY MC-2 indicates CHW4 as a new load, however CHW-4 is not indicated on the single line for MC2, please clarify. A6: Correct designation for this 50HP load shall be CWP-5. 1 of 1
