THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGE TO EXISTING UTILITIES CAUSED BY THEIR OPERATIONS. FENCING & LANDSCAPING IN RIGHT-OF-WAY: WHERE PRIVATE FENCES AND/OR LANDSCAPE PLANTINGS ARE LOCATED WITHIN THE WORK AREA, THE PROPERTY OWNER SHALL BE NOTIFIED (IN WRITING WITH A COPY SENT TO THE ENGINEER) BY THE CONTRACTOR TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF ANY WORK DONE THAT WILL AFFECT ANY FENCING AND/OR LANDSCAPING. THIS WORK WILL BE PAID AS A LUMP SUM AS CLEARING, SPECIAL. LAWN SPRINKLER SYSTEMS: SHALL BE NOTIFIED (IN WRITING WITH A COPY SENT TO THE ENGINEER) BY THE CONTRACTOR TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF ANY WORK DONE THAT WILL AFFECT THOSE SYSTEMS. IF THE PROPERTY OWNER FAILS TO RELOCATE THE LAWN SPRINKLER SYSTEMS PRIOR TO THE CONTRACTOR BEGINNING WORK AND THE CONTRACTOR CUTS THE SYSTEM DURING RUCTION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CAP THE SYSTEM PIPE AND WITNESS THE LOCATION OF THE CAP WITH A WOODEN STAKE FOR THE PROPERTY OWNER'S USE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PLACE THE SALVAGED SPRINKLER HEADS ON THE PROPERTY OWNER'S PROPERTY. ANY OTHER MODIFICATIONS TO THE LAWN SPRINKLER SYSTEMS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PROPERTY OWNER AND IS NOT PART OF THE CONTRACT. THE COST FOR SALVAGING AND RELOCATING LAWN SPRINKLER HEADS, AND CAPPING AND WITNESSING PIPES IS CONSIDERED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE CONTRACT UNIT PRICES FOR OTHER ITEMS OF WORK AND WILL NOT BE PAID FOR SEPARATELY. HAULING: CONTRACTOR SHALL IMMEDIATELY REMOVE FROM THE PROJECT AREA ALL PRODUCTS OF CLEARING, GRUBBING AND REMOVALS THAT ARE UNSUITABLE FOR BACKFILL AND LEGALLY DISPOSE OF THESE ITEMS. ROUTES FOR HAULING MATERIALS TO OR FROM THE PROJECT SITE SHALL BE KEPT CLEAN OF DEBRIS ON A DAILY BASIS. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PERMITS AND FEES FOR LEGAL HAULING.
