2 INTRODUCTION P.J. Dick Incorporated is pleased to present to the Chartiers Valley Board of School Directors the following Construction Report for the Chartiers Valley Middle School and High School Building Program. The information contained within the Report represents an overview of the project and is published to provide the District with a basic understanding of the current status of the work, an updated budget, current schedule, and any other important issues and/or decisions that require the Construction Team s consideration. P.J. Dick will publish this report on a monthly basis at the beginning of the month, which will typically coincides with the completion of the contractors billing cycle for the previous month and, therefore, contain the most current information possible. Todd Devin Food Service Contractor Phase 1B - Kitchen Hoods and walk-in cooler and freezer installed. Kitchen equipment installation anticipated by mid-october. Building Envelope Status Test occurred in Phase 1A NE Area on May 19 th. Report was issued on May 29 th. Primes to address and/or respond to report by June 20 th. Test occurred in Phase 1A SE Area on July 13 th. Report was issued on July 30 th. Primes reviewing and addressing. 5

Continues to work with the school district on maintaining active monitoring and the control of the existing systems that remain functional through Phase 2. Horizon Informational Technology Contractor Continues necessary technology work to support the phasing plan and daily activities of the school. Phase One Development Asbestos Abatement Contractor Complete with Phase 2 abatement. Building Envelope Status Test occurred in Phase 1C Tech Ed Addition on May 12 th. Report was issued on May 26 th. Primes to addressing and coordinating with Building Envelope Consultant. 7

12 Project Change Order Status (Continued) The following is a summary of current issues that may and/or are resulting in change orders to the MIDDLE SCHOOL PROJECT. The costs for each issue either have been submitted, have yet to be submitted and are being calculated by the Prime Contractor, are being evaluated by the Construction Team, or are identified as a cost issue at this point which may or may not end up as a change. Upon receipt of accurate pricing, change order requests, change order approvals, and/or new issues, PJD will update the below lists appropriately. MIDDLE SCHOOL Mucci Construction 1. Change Order #01 thru #11 approved. 1. Proposed CO #12 Deduct for CW18 size, add sidewalk truncated domes, over excavation items, work for revised elevator exhaust, and adding wire mesh grilles above stage. 2. Proposed CO #13 Add for structural steel changes, modifications for art terrace railings, add for junction relay box for access control, concrete curb to conceal grade beam, and deduct for alternate gym equipment controller. 3. Anticipated CO #14 Storm detention tank liner. 4. Cost Issues Added expansion joint covers, Metal Panel flashing with air barrier flashing system, casework modifications, RFI #199 Enders Plumbing and Heating 1. Change Order #01 thru #02 approved. 1. Cost Issues Added sump pump to Hydraulic Elevator, Added piping for terrace drains, Reduction in interior natural gas line sizing. R & B Mechanical 1. Change Order #01 and #02 approved. 1. Cost Issues Added end switches on actuators for the smoke evacuation dampers. Merit Electrical Group 1. Change Order #01 thru #03 approved. 1. 13 Project Change Order Status (Continued) The following is a summary of current issues that may and/or are resulting in change orders to the HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT. The costs for each issue either have been submitted, have yet to be submitted and are being calculated by the Prime Contractor, are being evaluated by the Construction Team, or are identified as a cost issue at this point which may or may not end up as a change. Upon receipt of accurate pricing, change order requests, change order approvals, and/or new issues, PJD will update the below lists appropriately. HIGH SCHOOL Rycon Construction 1. Change Order #001 thru #011 approved. 1. Proposed CO #012 Deducts for green ice polishing and polishing scope, deduct for DMC furring and drywall, add to top off existing walls by kitchen, add for drywall infill work at DMC curtain wall, add for moisture mitigation for dance floor, add for temporary railings, add for installation of owner permanent cores, deduct for various masonry scope of works, add for platform under DMC stairs, and add for DMC vestibule lobby walls and ceilings. 2. Cost Issue Lean Fill for foundation bearing elevations - Phase 1, 2, Cost Issue Cost Issue ASI #009 - Door Access Control and Smoke Evacuation Clarification 4. Cost Issue Temporary shoring of existing utilities in the tunnel and service basement area. 5. Cost Issue Phase 2A foundations potential conflict with existing underground utilities. Enders Plumbing 1. Change Order #001 approved. 1. Proposed CO #002 Add floor drains in mechanical room, add for fire protection work per ASI #005, deduct to modify Tech Ed compressed air, deduct to reduce gas line sizing per ASI #006, add to re-route existing rainwater conductors in Performing Arts area, and add to re-route and add domestic water piping to existing basketball locker rooms and existing auxiliary gym locker rooms do to new Phase 2A work. 2. Proposed CO #003 Adds for various existing plumbing items related to and conflicting with the new Phase 2A work. 3. Cost Issue Extend the Chlorine Fill Line per RFI #0051. Lugaila Mechanical 1. Change Order #001 thru #002 approved. 1. Proposed CO #003 Various ductwork conflicts with new Phase 2A work. Merit Electric Group 1. Change Order #001 thru #005 approved. 1. Proposed CO #006 Add for occupancy sensors and light in Tech Ed gallery, add to temporarily re-feed site lights, add to re-feed pool platform, diving boards, and circulating pump, add for re-feeding normal ad emergency power in basement service area related to and conflicting with new Phase 2A work. 2. Proposed CO #007 Add for power modifications to existing Tech Ed equipment, add for elevator additions per elevator inspector, add to install temporary fire alarm annunciator panel per inspector, and add to complete additional dust collector circuits. 3.
