1 NOTICE TO BIDDERS August 24, 2016 ADDENDUM NO. 1 Gosling Road Pedestrian, Bike & Related Improvements TO ALL FIRMS OF RECORD: This addendum forms a part of and modifies the bidding and contract documents and technical specifications for the project named above. The following changes, additions and clarifications are made to the original Contract Documents: Bidders shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum No. 1 on their Bid Item 1: Bid Date/Time No changes have been made to the bid date and time. Bids will be accepted by the City of Portsmouth Finance/ Purchasing Department, City Hall, 1 Junkins Avenue, Portsmouth, NH until 2:00 PM, September 12, 2016, and then publicly opened and read aloud. Item 2: Add Alternate A Add Alternate A, including installation of a pedestrian crossing (crosswalks and signs supplemented by Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons or RRFBs) of Gosling Road west of Winsor Road and construction of a bus pull out (at the existing bus stop) on the Newington (north) side of Gosling Road. is hereby removed from the proposed work in its entirety. Item 3: Bid The Bid section of the proposal is removed in its entirety (pages B-1 through B-12) and replaced by the enclosed revised Bid section (pages B-1 through B-7). Revisions to items , 619.1, and 699 are included to reflect Item 2 above. Item Landscaping is revised to an allowance item; any landscaping work will be as directed by the Engineer. Item Retroreflect. Thermoplas. Pavement Marking, Symbol or Word is removed, as sharrow pavement markings will not be installed. END OF ADDENDUM NO. 1 GoslingRdAddendumNo1

By submission of this BID, each BIDDER certifies, and in the case of a joint BID each party thereto certifies as to his own organization, that this BID has been arrived at independently, without consultation, communication, or agreement as to any matter relating to the BID with any other BIDDER or with any competitor. BIDDER hereby agrees to commence WORK under this contract on or before a date to be specified in the NOTICE TO PROCEED and to complete the PROJECT within: 45 Calendar Days to Substantial Completion Final Completion 30 Calendar Days following Substantial Completion Liquidated damages for this project will be in accordance with the following schedule: a. $ for each day of delay from the date established for Substantial Completion. b. $ for each calendar day of delay from the date established for Final Completion.
