VISION GLASS - THE PROBLEM Difficulties in work space Blinds our vision Makes us more creative? Distracts our attention
TYPICAL METHOD TO DEAL WITH GLARE Fabric Blinds Plastic Blinds Wooden Blinds Typical occupant solution Views compromised Daylight exposure reduced Blinds go down.. lights come on!
ARCHITECTURAL DAYLIGHTING Daylighting is a powerful design element and if planned well would command higher rental and resale values. Full spectrum diffused light enhances the visual and triggers positive psychological responses.
DAYLIGHTING WITH WINDOWS The placement of vision glass on buildings exclusively, is not effective daylighting. Why? The result: - glare - thermal discomfort - poor light penetration - increase solar heat gain The outcome is the deployment of blinds, which tend to stay down. This defeats the purpose of windows.
INTRODUCING SOLERA - REAL DAYLIGHTING SOLUTION!
DAYLIGHTING WITH SOLERA A wide angle diffusing translucent material lifts a significant portion of the light up from the floor - distributing it evenly in the space. The net effect is a deep penetration of natural full spectrum light, without excessive thermal variance and the harmful effects of glare.
NOT ALL TRANSLUCENTS ARE EQUAL Clear glass, as well as narrow angle light diffusers, such as Acid Etched and White Laminated glass, creates excessive illumination and high contrast (glare). SOLERA, unlike other translucents, is a wide angle light diffuser. By redirecting equal amounts of light in all directions, a diffused and comfortable full spectrum light is achieved.
DAYLIGHT SIMULATION STUDIES Computer models to simulate Daylight can be provided for an engineered solution 9:30 AM - 21 June. Vision Glass 9:30 AM - 21 June. SOLERA

CONTROLLING THE THERMAL IMPACT Our technologies include light diffusing glass veils which diffuses light and control solar heat gain coefficient. The patented transparent InsolCoreTM insulation disrupts the convection cycle of heat transfer thus reducing U-value. Conduction heat transfer is further addressed by a unique aerogel product.
SOLERA + LUMIRA AEROGEL SOLERA + Lumira aerogel is a daylighting strategy that dramatically improves thermal performance making an extraordinary product even better. It can achieve U-value as low as 0.31 W/sqmK

OVERVIEW Sefar Architecture Vision is a metalcoated precision fabric interlayer laminated within glass to create unique aesthetic design possibilities in exterior glass Each fabric features weaves in a variety of aperture percentages (25-70%) and light transmission percentages (18-60%). The structure of the fabric is responsible for the unique optical effects, subtle reflection and solar reduction.
PRECISION FABRIC WITH TWO DIFFERENT SIDES One side Metal Coated High reflection One Side Black Transparency
ONE-OF-A-KIND VIEWING The single-sided metal coating allows for free expression on the exterior of a glass wall without impeding views from those inside and preventing the exterior design from reading through to the interior space.
