12 SECTION 1.0 Title: Introduction C I M S CARTER INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Section 7 INTRODUCTION This manual has been produced by the Health and Safety Steering Committee with the intent of providing guidance on Group standard Health and Safety and reporting procedures and use of accompanying standard forms. Such guidance is based on the Group s established and proven management systems whilst at the same time embracing necessary change. The manual forms Section 7 of the Carter Integrated Management System [CIMS] which is described more fully in the CIMS Policy, Overview & Procedures. Where the CIMS logo is displayed as a document footer, this indicates that the document is subject to document control for style and content. The standard forms and procedures are intended to be dynamic and subject to continuous improvement. However, to ensure that Group wide consistency of approach to Health, Safety and Welfare is maintained, it is important that any opportunities for improvement be coordinated and agreed by the Steering Committee to whom ideas for change should be submitted. For the purposes of managing implementation of these procedures the Group will from time to time carry out internal audits as part of the continuous improvement strategy.
