Partition Wall boards have evolved over the years to meet a variety of needs.today there are many types of partition or drywall options. One division of wallboard that is rapidly increasing in popularity is high performance wallboard Abuse Resistance (AR) Prevents abrasion or scuffing due to high traffic of daily building operations and occasional indentation of the wall surface. Occasional direct contact by people, cleaning equipment and the gentle shoving or movement of furniture is considered with this classification. Abuse resistant wall board is appropriate for interior spaces where higher resistance to abrasion, occasional indentation and minor impact penetration is required that is provided by conventional drywall. Impact Resistance (IR) Prevents damage due to high energy or continual impact that breaks into the stud cavity. Impact Resistant wall board resists this type of damage, increasing useful wall life and reducing wall maintenance costs.
