2 Skylight Well at 3 rd Floor Office Area Abbreviated scope of work: This work includes all labour and materials necessary to build a skylight well in the 3 rd floor office space. The work includes: Remove and dispose of drop ceiling components in the affected area Supply and install min. 20 ga. Steel studs, struts and tracks to frame skylight well. Anchor to concrete soffit with powder actuated fasteners with metal top hat washer (Hilti X-S16-P8TH) or approved equivalent. Finished skylight well can be approximately ¾ inch lower than the adjacent drop ceiling to provide a small reveal at the drop ceiling to skylight well interface if required by site conditions. Supply and install ½ inch Gypsum Wall Board (GWB) to form skylight well and returns. Mud, tape, corner bead, sand, prime and paint GWB. Paint colour and sheen to be selected by owner. Relocate electrical, data and related wires and cables to bypass finished skylight well. All work to be completed with qualified trades. Junctions to be completed in compliance with relevant by-laws, codes and best practice. All services to be un-interrupted during normal working hours. Existing sprinkler to remain in place. Relocation not required. Paint pipe to blend into skylight well. Prepare and paint all exposed concrete and trim to match skylight well. Clean existing light diffuser panels on both sides. Reinstate drop ceiling. Ensure ceiling tile sizes are adjusted to provide an aesthetically acceptable finish.
