If material installed using certified ICPI installation guidelines, under normal, nonabusive situations, proves to be structurally defective, at the discretion of Best Way Stone, the product in question will be replaced without cost. Replacement labour and transportation costs are not included, and a valid proof of purchase is required. Colour variances, staining, the occurrence of efflorescence, and other natural or unnatural occurrences, including but not limited to acts of God, do not form part of this guarantee. When properly constructed, a solid base foundation helps prevent paver settling, shifting, and water accumulation. Use of edge restraints and jointing sand is recommended as best practice by ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute). When choosing and installing jointing sand, please ensure to follow the directions given by the manufacturer. To find out more about base preparation and installation practices, visit Product Colour & Distribution We recommend that you verify colours and products chosen for your concrete landscape project with your contractor or landscape designer prior to installation. Physical or printed colour samples are only representations of the chosen product. Always install materials by selecting from several bundles simultaneously to ensure a balanced distribution of surface colour textures and colour mixtures. If discrepancies arise, notify us immediately before continuing with your project. Once the product has been installed, Best Way Stone recognizes this as your acceptance of the product s condition. Product Care & Handling Maintaining the surface of your concrete pavers is essential to their aesthetic. Sealers can be applied to the surface of our pavers and slabs to enhance the colour of the product. Sealing your concrete pavers is optional, our pavers are just as durable with or without the addition of sealer. If you plan on sealing your concrete products, please follow the manufacturer s instructions for proper sealing application. Ensure when compacting our pavers that a rubber membrane is added to protect textured surfaces from possible damage. When removing snow from the surface of our pavers it is recommended that a rubber blade be used to prevent scratching and damage to the surface. Best Way Stone is not responsible for the damage left by the misuse of compaction or snow removal equipment. If handled incorrectly, even materials as durable as concrete can scratch, chip, or stain. Ensure that your contractor makes provisions for moving, transporting, and handling your Best Way Stone products. Efflorescence Efflorescence is a naturally occurring process that is present throughout concrete products. It is often described as a white, powdery substance that appears on the product s surface. Efflorescence will usually wear off over time, although special cleaners may be used to aid in the removal.
