Page no.8, clause-4.2: Particular construction experience - We presume that Road over bridges / Flyovers are considered for a single civil work contract of similar nature category. Please confirm. Page no.9, clause-4.5: Equipment capabilities - Format for undertaking to be provided. Page no.12, clause-12.3: Service tax - Please clarify whether Service tax is applicable for this contract. Page no.13, clause-15.1: EMD - We request you to consider bank guarantee also towards EMD. Page no.13,clause-16: Alternative proposals - We request you to permit alternative proposals also. Page no.47, clause-35.2: Changes in quantities - Read as "Provided further that no change in the rate or price for any item contained in the Contract shall be considered unless such item accounts for an amount more than 2% of the Contract Price." We request you consider 1% instead of 2% of contract price. Shifting work will be done. Road Over Bridge / Fly overs are considered as civil work contract. Construction of cement concrete kerb with channel with top and bottom width 230mm and 330 mm respectively, 950 mm high in M 20 grade PCC on M10 grade foundation 150 mm thick, kerb channel 630 mm wide, sloped towards the kerb and kerb stone with channel laid with kerb laying machine, foundation concrete laid manually, all complete as per clause 408. Item no of BOQ, Borehole for soil investigation We request you to specify the depth and dia for the same, since the unit for this item is in Nos. Item no of BOQ, M30 concrete for wearing coat incl. Reft. Steel We request you to measure the reinforcement separately, otherwise provide the detailed structural drawing for the same. Excavated 650mm depth trench and lay the cables on it. A layer of bricks should be placed over the cable with sand bed. Backfilling of trench should be used with selected earth. Depth shall be considered as 32m in soil and 1m in rock and Diameter of boring shall be 150mm. Item is inclusive of Reinforcement. The reinforcement steel shall be provided as single layer of 8mm 200mm c/c both ways. 3 / 7

4 29 30 Item no of BOQ, Crash barriers We request you to provide the detailed drawing for the same Item no of BOQ, M35 concrete for approach slab incl. Reft. Steel We request you to measure the reinforcement separately, otherwise provide the detailed structural drawing for the same. 110mm dia PVC pipes will be provided in both outer sides of crash barriers to carry the electric cables for light poles. Item is inclusive of Reinforcement. Refer Drawing no.7483/e/dd Miscellaneous Details for structural details Road Widening We presumed that the road widening and approvals from the local authorities will be done by client. Secured Advance We request you to pay the secured advance upto 85% of the material value and the same shall be recovered from the running bills. Road is owned by TNRDC. No such advance shall be provided. 33 Mobilisation Advance We request you to pay interest free 10% mobilisation advance for smooth cash Refer S.No.10 above. flow of the site and the same shall be recovered from the running bills. 34 Land Acquisition After award of contract any delay in site handover due to land acquisition, the idle charges shall be paid to us for our men and machineries and extension of time shall be provided for completion of project in a smooth manner. Land Acquisition completed. 35 Traffic Marshal We request you to pay the traffic marshals at actual at site on unit rate basis. The bidder has to consider in their quoted rates Coffer dam In execution stage if any coffer dam is constructed, the cost of the same shall be paid to us extra at actual. Clause 16 of Instructions to bidders, Alternative Proposal We request you to allow us to submit the alternative design proposal for this project, and the same shall be operated at site after getting the necessary approvals. If you are allowing for alternatives, we will submit a very competitive proposal and the same shall be very cost effective also. No extra cost shall be considered. 4 / 7

5 Finance Whether the finance for this project will be born by state govt. or by any other authorities. We request you to clarify. Soil investigation Report We request you to provide the detailed bore log report, since the available report is not clear and the N values not specified. Clause no.35 of COC. Changes in the Quantities We request you to pay the actual market rate for the deviated quantities i.e. more than 25% of the BOQ qty. Additional Items We request you to pay the actual market rate for the new item of work other than the BOQ items. Section I - ITB - Clause No Joint Venture : Kindly specify the numbers of members allowed to from joint venture / consortium and the percentage of minimum equity share holding / technical capacity required for other members. Section I - ITB - Clause Personnel capabilities : The clause specify that the bidder should produce the work man compensation policy at the time of bidding. But in practice it is possible to produce after award of the contract only. Kindly give the amendment. Section I - ITB - Clause Equipment Capability : Kindly provide the prescribed format for giving the undertaking. Section I - ITB - Clause 5 - Cost of Bid Document : Generally in all government tenders there is no cost of bid document if it is downloaded from website. Kindly clarify Section I - ITB - Clause 15- Earnest Money Deposit: Request to consider Bank Guarantee in lieu of Demand Draft as the Earnest Money Deposit. It will reduce the cash flow crunch of the bidder as a huge amount of Rs.73 Lakhs will not be locked for a long period of 180 days and more. (Bid Validity Period) Section III - CC - Clause 42 - Tax : Please confirm whether the service tax is applicable for this project. Will be borne by the State Government. 6 48 49 Section III - CC - Clause 47- Advance payment for construction improvement works: We request for a interest free mobilization advance of 10% on agreement value and also secured advances for non perishable materials at the rate of 75% on the invoice value. Section V - BOQ - Bill No 5 item no 5.04: "Stone pitching of 300 mm thk. The stone shall be sound, hard, durable and fairly regular in shape. Quarry stone should be used. Round boulders shall not be allowed. The stones subject to marked deterioration by water or weather shall not be accepted. The size and weight of stone shall conform to clause of l.r.c:89. The sizes of spalls shall be a minimum of 25 mm and shall be suitable to fill the voids in the pitching. Stone pitching including pointing with CM 1 : 2 ( 1 Cement & 2 Fine aggregate) and all complete as per Technical Specification Clause 2500" -We request for the change of item as Cement concrete blocks in place of stone pitching. Refer S.No. 32 above. 50 Section V - BOQ - Bill No.9 Item No.9.10 : "Maintenance of Vehicles provided to TNRDC including driver, operation costs, fuel etc, complete (4000 km/month) during construction period of 2 years period" - Kindly specify the capacity, type and model of vehicle. Toyota Innova - 2.5VX - 7 Seater Section V - BOQ - Bill No:10 Item No (i) and (ii) : The rate is called for the Deck slab and Diaphragm concrete with RCC M35 whereas in drawing No.7483/E/DD- 002 General Notes, it is specified that the minimum grade of concrete required for Deck slab and Diaphragm is M 40. Kindly confirm the grade of concrete required. Section V - BOQ - Bill No:10 Item No.10.17: "Providing and laying cement concrete wearing coat M-30 grade including reinforcement complete as per drawing and Technical Specifications" - Please furnish the reinforcement detail drawing or specify the quantity of steel to be placed per cum (This item is called for inclusive of cost of reinforcement steel) Section V - BOQ - Bill No:10 Item No : "Reinforced cement concrete M35 Grade approach slab including reinforcement & formwork complete as per drawing and Technical specification" - Please furnish the reinforcement detailed drawing or specify the quantity of steel to be placed per cum (this item is called for inclusive of cost of reinforcement steel) Refer Drawing no. 7483/E/DD-002 General Notes. 7 54 55 We request to consider the measurements and payment for laps, chairs, spacer bars etc in the item of reinforcement. ( It was already approved by the Highways Department of Tamil Nadu). We request you to kindly provide vacant land at free of cost for our Batching Plant, Precast yard and for Project store. The reinforcement steel rate is inclusive of Laps, chairs and spacer bars.
