3 introducing EJM Ed Mocnik President Ed is actively involved in the company s day-to-day operations and oversees all aspects of project administration, client development and liaison. He is a graduate of the Construction Management program at Douglas College, and also studied the Business Administration program at Kwantlen College and the Construction Management Degree program at BCIT. Ed s experience of over 25 years ranges from field experience as a carpenter to site superintendent to project manager of commercial, institutional and residential s, up to a value of $22 million dollars. In 1999 he founded EJM Construction Management Inc. In 2005 Ed received recognition as a successful entrepreneur by being awarded Business in Vancouver s Top Forty Under Forty awards. Jaime has been working in the construction industry for over 10 years, the last 5 of which have been with EJM Construction Management Inc. He has extensive experience in all levels of institutional, commercial and residential construction. Jaime has a degree in Civil Engineering and Administration of the Panamericana University of Guadalajara. As a project manager, Jaime has managed a wide range of construction projects up to $16 million dollars in value including Bloom, a 79 townhouse unit project in Coquitlam. He is extremely goal oriented, with excellent problem solving skills, and is committed to producing results and meeting schedules above and beyond what is expected. Jaime Tarriba Project Manager With 9 years of experience in the construction industry, starting out as a labourer before becoming a journeyman Carpenter, Phil brings his knowledge from the field into the office. He is a graduate of the Construction Management Degree Program from BCIT, a student member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and a member of the Canada Green Building Council. Phil is responsible for project management, calculating project costs, analyzing and maintaining budgets, obtaining tenders from sub-trades and estimating, developing and managing project schedules. Phil Rechsteiner Project Manager Alex has been part of the management team at EJM for the last 2 years and he brings almost two decades of experience in the financial field. He is responsible for EJM s financial strategy and planning, financial performance management and reporting, regulatory and compliance and methods and procedures.before joining EJM, Alex was the CFO of an Internet company with offices in Canada and the US, he was in charge of the implementation of a proprietary ERP system. He has also worked as Controller and Financial Analyst for companies like Seagate Software, now SAP Business Objects. His high-tech background has brought a refreshing twist to EJM. Alex has an accounting degree from his native Mexico; he has studied Communications at the University of Colorado and is currently taking his CMA Designation. Alex Laguardia CFO With 8 years of Corporate and SMB sales experience, Brandon brings his passion for sales, marketing and business development to the EJM team. Prior to joining EJM, during his extensive career in the Canadian telecom industry, Brandon was recognized as one of the top 10 telecom performers nationwide. Focusing his values on strong business relationships. Valuing these principals enabled him to receive accolades and achievements across the country for his sales & development performances. He is responsible for project coordination, trade and subtrade involvement, relationship management, meeting with project stakeholders, website enhancements and additions, the EJM social media campaign, local and online presence and Brandon Lossé business development strategies. The Elim Village construction value was over $90 million dollars and deserves a special place in our portfolio. Whether they have questions about a particular room, interior or exterior or questions surrounding new materials or methods, our group consults on an as needed basis to allow them to produce the best quality drawings they re capable of, while staying within their clients budget. Using their photography and video technologies, we are able provide our home owners, architects and developers with the ability to watch their visions come to life, every step of the way.
