These files are in the EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) format and should be used only by professional screen printing shops. The standard arrow for building signage is also available for downloading in the Logo Library.

The metal profile supporting frame is painted anthracite (Pantone 432). In general, the color of the text and of the arrows is black. Typeface Times Ten Roman (Adobe/Linotype). B Arrows The standard arrow (EPS file) is available in the appropriate section of the Logo Library. Permissible orientations:, 45, 9, etc. It has a length of mm. The arrow is also available for computer applications (film-cutting plotters). Arrows are measured from the point to the end of the tail of the center shaft. All specification measurements refer to the total length. Signage sizes The metric system is used for format sizes and measurements. Construction and materials See.6.5 B Logo Logo version For signage, the color logos are used (preferably Pantone colors). Logo templates The digitized templates are 5 mm in length. Logo placement Logo footprint The blue bounding line indicates the logo footprint. This area is available for the placement of the logo. The logo must touch the imaginary bounding line on the left and may touch it on the right. The logos that are not limited by the top and bottom bounding lines must be visually (as opposed to mathematically) centered along the horizontal axis. Caution! The size of the logo footprint varies with the format of the sign. Please consult pages.6.4 ff to find the correct logo footprint for the respective sign format.

4 Signage: Formats and grid system Version /22 L3 Page.6.3 Square core unit, 5 x 5 mm Standard signage formats Swissport, Swissport Cargo Services, Swissport partner and Swissport Executive Aviation signage is based on a square core unit of 5 mm that can be combined vertically and horizontally to form other formats. The most useful formats have been arranged in a system for uniform appearance, legibility and economy. If possible, the lettering on signs should be in two languages: English on the first and the local language on the second line. Training Center A Type Identification signage This type of sign is used to identify buildings. It does not have directional arrows. B The top panel is reserved for the logos of Swissport Cargo Services for identification purposes. The bottom panel is always blank. Building C Gebäude C B Type 2 Orientation signage Building C Gebäude C Building D Gebäude D This type of sign has arrows to guide visitors in the right direction. The logo on the top panel is not needed if the sign is on premises occupied solely by Swissport Cargo Services. If meaningful, the top panel displays the logos of Swissport Cargo Services for identification purposes. C The bottom panels of freestanding pylons are always blank. C Type 3 Destination signage Training Center This type of sign tells visitors where they are. It has no arrows. The logo on the top panel is not needed if the sign is on premises occupied solely by Swissport Cargo Services. The lower panel contains the department designation, department with description (if necessary) and occupants (with title if required). The lower panel is designed to accept paper or film inserts. 16 Signage: Construction and materials Version /22 L3 Page.6.5 Construction The Swissport, Swissport Cargo Services, Swissport partner and Swissport Executive Aviation signage system consists of two basic parts: the surrounding support framework and the individual panels for lettering. Wall-mounted signs may only require the panels without the supporting frames. Framework The framework is constructed from metal L-profiles bolted together to form a sandwich construction (for example, two 5-mm L-profiles, back-to-back). The frame is painted in anthracite. Materials With its modular size and format structure, the Swissport, Swissport Cargo Services, Swissport partner and Swissport Executive Aviation signage system permits numerous variations. Additionally, various materials may be used to create site-specific solutions. Possible materials for panels are sheet metal (aluminum or steel), polyester or composites, all painted white, or glass (etched on the back, lettering on the front). Panels The panels are supported within the frame to give the impression of lightness, as if floating. The panels have a dimension or thickness that corresponds to the interior thickness of the L-profile sandwich construction (usually 5 mm). The panels for wall-mounted signs can be constructed from several materials. The panels have a minimum material thickness of 5 mm with a 5-mm distance to the wall or a thickness of 5 mm with a 5-mm distance to the wall. The panels are generally white.
