Caring for the environment plays a central role in everything we do from our choice of raw materials to our processes, suppliers, transportation and packaging. Did you know? We are the first flooring company ever to receive the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, and we also hold a PEFC certification representing that our products are certified as a good environmental choice. We use only renewable wood products such as pine and spruce never wood from rainforests that are threatened with extinction. Using rainwater for our production sites and offices saves 720,000 litres of water per year. Enough to fill a third of an Olympic-sized swimming pool! Over 85% of the heat needed for production is produced by burning wood dust from milling, sawing and grinding in our own production. That equates to the typical yearly energy use of 15,000 households! 18
