JEA is extending the Bid due date to June 19, Questions not answered in this addendum will be answered in a forthcoming addendum. No further questions may be submitted. 2. JEA is updating the Appendix B Subcontractors Form to include the subcontractor for painting the concrete expansion tank. 3. JEA has updated Appendix A - Technical Specifications as shown below and in the attached file labeled Addendum 1 Attachment. Table of Contents: 1. Delete Construction Scheduling from the TOC 2. Add Precast Concrete Structures to the TOC 3. Add Aluminum Access Hatches to the TOC 4. Delete Lightweight Insulating Concrete Roof Insulation from the TOC Section 01310: Construction Scheduling 1. Delete specification in its entirety. Section 02050: Demolition and Modifications 1. Paragraph 1.06 B, delete 1. Existing generator. Section 02605: Precast Concrete Structures 1. Add new specification in its entirety. Section 03520: Lightweight Concrete Roof Insulation 1. Paragraph 1.08 A, delete in its entirety and replace with the following: A. Upon successful completion of the project, and after all post installation procedures have been completed, furnish the OWNER with a letter that certifies that the installation of the roof system Page 1 of 5

2 including the lightweight insulating concrete system and the roof membrane/flashing system. The roof system guarantee shall include both the roofing and flashing membrane, and the specified new lightweight insulating concrete system consisting of aggregate fill, patented-pre-formed polystyrene panels, base sheet, and base sheet fasteners. All repair or replacement costs covered under the guarantee shall be borne by the roof membrane/flashing manufacturer. The guarantee shall be for a 20-year term, without deductibles or limitations on coverage amount, and be issued at no additional cost to the OWNER. Refer to Section 07552; SBS Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing and Section 01740; Warranties. 2. Paragraph 1.08 B, delete in its entirety and replace with the following: B. In addition to coverage specified above, specific lightweight concrete insulation items covered during the terms of the warranty/guarantee shall include: 1. The actual resistance to heat flow through the roof insulation will be at least 80% of the design thermal resistance, provided the roof membrane is free of leaks. 2. The roof insulation system will remain as a re-roofable condition, capable of retaining fasteners similar to and with pull-out resistance equal to or exceeding the original installation, excluding damage to the insulation caused by removal of the original roof membrane. 3. The roof insulation system will not cause structural damage to the building as a result of expansion from thermal or chemical reaction. 4. The roof insulation will remain in place even if the roof membrane sustains wind damage covered by the guarantee. 5. The roof system guarantee will not limit, by geographic location, the OWNER s rights for claims, actions, and/or proceedings. Section 05560: Aluminum Access Hatches 1. Add new specification in its entirety. Section 07220: Lightweight Insulating Concrete Roof Insulation 1. Delete specification in its entirety. Section 11270: Grinder Pump Station 1. Add the below Paragraph to the specification. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly WET WELL VENT A. A vent shall be installed in the wet well cover. The vent shall consist of a 2-inch 316 SS threaded mounting flange, 2-inch 316 SS nipple, and a Wager 2100 mushroom check valve. The top shall be tapped and mounting flange connected to the lid per the wet well MANUFACTURER recommendations. Section 15064: Plastic Pipe and Fittings 1. Delete Paragraph 2.05 it its entirety and replace with Paragraphs 2.05 and 2.06 below MARKING TAPE A. Utility marking tape shall be 3-inch wide and 4-mil thick per ASTM D2103 with a 2,750-psi tensile strength per ASTM D882. Tape shall have adhesive backing and industrial standard repeatable message and installed in the 12:00 o clock position LOCATE WIRE A. Locate wire shall be 12-gauge copper wire, single strand, UF rated for direct bury with 30 mil HDPE thickness insulation and minimum OD of inches. The rated break load shall be 250 lbs, 30-volt, 21 percent IACS. B. External color of locate wire shall be blue for potable water, green for sewer, and pantone purple 522C for reuse. Page 2 of 5

3 2. Paragraph 3.03, add C. as follows: C. Locate wire testing shall be per JEA Water and Wastewater Standards Section 350.III Delete Paragraphs 3.04 A D in their entirety. Section 15072: Ductile Iron Pipe and Fittings 1. Add Paragraph 2.06 as follows: 2.06 LOCATE WIRE A. Locate wire shall be 12-gauge copper wire, single strand, UF rated for direct bury with 30 mil HDPE thickness insulation and minimum OD of inches. The rated break load shall be 250 lbs, 30-volt, 21 percent IACS. B. External color of locate wire shall be blue for potable water, green for sewer, and pantone purple 522C for reuse. Section 15100: Valves and Appurtenances 1. Paragraph 2.14, delete paragraph C in its entirety. Section 16950: Field Instruments 1. Paragraph 2.02.B. add 2AB0BL21AEM4Q4 after 3051L. 4. JEA is updating Appendix C Drawings as shown below. CHANGES TO THE DRAWINGS Sheet G-2: Sheet Index and General Notes 1. On the Installation Notes, Number 4: Mark an X in the applicable, and remove the X from the not applicable column. Sheet CD-2: Civil Details 1. Detail A, for the callout 24 ROUND PRECAST CONCRETE PAD delete NOTE #6 and replace with NOTE #7. 2. Detail A, for callout 12 (MIN) LAYER OF #57. Delete NOTE #7 and replace with NOTE #8. 3. Detail G, add the following with callouts: 2-inch 316 SS threaded mounting flange, 2-inch 316SS nipple, and a Wager 2100 Mushroom check valve. Sheet CD-3: Civil Details 1. Detail D, on the callout ELECTRIC SLIDE GATE. Delete the words SEE NOTE 9. Sheet CD-4: Civil Details 1. Detail A, Section View, add a callout on the flange by flange piping inside the vault to read PROVIDE 3-FT LONG FLANGED SCH SS PIPE 2. Detail A, Section View, add a callout to the flanges inside the vault as follows PROVIDE EPDM GASKETS TO CONNECT DI AND SS FLANGES 3. Detail A, Section View, on the call out 5-0 x 5-0 ARMORCAST delete in its entirety and replace with the following 5-0 x 5-0 PRECAST CONCRETE VAULT. 4. Detail A, Plan View, modify the aluminum hatch to reflect a single door not double door. Sheet M-5: 1.5 MG Ground Storage Tank Slab Plan 1. Add a callout at approximately 30 degrees from the tank 3 o-clock position Provide 4-inch stainless steel wall pipe and collar, isolation valve and pressure transmitter. Include the detail bubble of H/M-9. Sheet M-6: 1.5 MG Ground Storage Tank Roof Plan 1. Add a callout at approximately 30 degrees from the tank 3 o-clock position Provide 4-inch stainless steel wall pipe and collar, isolation valve and pressure transmitter. Include the detail bubble of H/M-9. Sheet M-8: 1.5 MG Ground Storage Tank Sections and Details 1. Detail E, on the callout X PVC PIPE delete X PVC and replace with 8 PVC. Detail A Sheet E Question: Request confirmation of the (maximum capacity) HP rating/size of each of the 5 required VFD s, per the subject project s electrical drawings page E-5 (sheet #87). a. VFD-201 HP rating? b. VFD-202 HP rating? c. VFD-203 HP rating? d. VFD-301 HP rating? e. VFD-302 HP rating? Answer: Contractor shall size VFDs according to Section D to match design and rating of loads. Line conditioning and filtering shall be based on manufacturer s harmonic analysis study according to Section A. 6. Question: In reference to the above project and JEA Solicitation #090-18, I am requesting clarification of venting on the 36 x 84 Duplex Grinder pump station called out for on the drawings for said project. Typically, for a station requiring watertight construction we install a Wager check vent (Wager 2100) which enables the station to breath and keeps water from entering via the vent by means of a check valve ball inside of the vent. I have attached a cut sheet for this venting system for your consideration. Answer: A vent with a check valve shall be provided and installed. Refer to the specification and drawing modifications. 7. Question: REF: Specifications Table of Contents, page 2 Please confirm that all the DIV 7 waterproofing sections apply to this project. If not, please indicate which ones do apply. Answer: Yes, all of the waterproofing sections apply. 8. Question: REF: Please clarify if the Contractor is to use this section or section Answer: Section has been deleted, Section will govern. 9. Question: Please indicate the JEA classification of this site in terms of the Diesel Generator. One manufacturer assumes, based on the size of the generator and application, that the site is a Class 3/4. Answer: This is a water facility. Site classification only applies to wastewater stations. 5 10. Question: REF: C-4 The new 30IN WM-DI line nearly conflicts with an existing power pole along US1. Will JEA provide physical support of this power pole while the new 30IN is installed? If this is not a JEA pole, please provide a contact person at the utility who does own it. Answer: JEA is the Owner of the power pole and will provide support for pole at contractor s expense during installation of 30-inch. 11. Question: Drawing CD-3 see Detail D, then the Cantilever Slide Gate Callout says to see note 9 for gate operator. This note does not exist. Answer: Note has been deleted, refer to this addendum. 12. Question: REF: Drawing CD-4 Armorcast does not make a 5 x5 vault, a vault with a bottom and sump. They also do not furnish aluminum hatches. Can we furnish precast concrete vault in lieu of Armorcast? Answer: Yes, a precast concrete vault can be provided. See this addendum for modifications. 13. Question: REF: Paragraph 1.06 says to salvage the generator. Where is this generator located and what size? Will there also be a fuel tank involved? Answer: There is no generator the existing booster station site. This reference has been deleted. 14. Question: REF: Pre-bid Meeting As stated in the pre-bid meeting, please confirm that the existing generator is to be hauled by the Contractor to JEA s West Side Service Center and unloaded by the Contractor.
