AG221-F & PRO ACOUSTIC and IMPACT ISOLATION SUB-FLOOR PANELS ACOUSTIC & IMPACT ISOLATION SUB-FLOOR PANELS # 0004 R-003 DRAWN BY P.H. SCALE Relative COVER PAGE

Tongue Orient the panel so the 2 tongues are at the top and left. Tongue SIDE 2 SIDE 1 SIDE 3 & SIDE 4 A

Corner 1~2 of the panel, must be placed in the corner of the room. Tongue Tongue SIDE 2 SIDE 1 SIDE 3 & SIDE 4 B

Start corner Example room NOTE: The Perimeter Isolator EPS foam-board is an integral component of the isolated floor system. It ensures that the vibration flanking path (floor to wall) is mitigated. Install AcoustiGuard Perimeter isolator EPS foam-board around entire boundary where the panels are to be installed. Use a small amount of standard construction adhesive to hold the foam-board in place before panel install. & C

Start corner Place the 1st panel into the start corner with both tongues (sides 1~2) against the walls. Tongue Tongue SIDE 2 Perimeter Isolation foam-board SIDE 1 SIDE 3 & SIDE 4 Place the panel tightly against the Perimeter EPS foam-board. Do not crush the EPS foam-board. D

SIDE 1 1/3rd piece 7 3/4" With a new panel and using a circular saw, cut the panel at 15 1/2" from side 3. SIDE 4 2/3rd piece SIDE /2" It is important that the off-cut piece retains 2 tongues. This 1/3rd piece will be reused. SIDE 3 & * 15 1/2" = mm E

DO NOT hammer directly on the grooves of the panels. Using a scrap piece of wood, hammer the panel's tongue into the groove of the next panel. Ensure a tight joint between all panels. SIDE 1 (Cut side) SIDE 2 (Remaining Tongue) Start corner SIDE 4 SIDE 3 & The cut 2/3rds panel is installed as the beginning of row 2. F

Start corner Install the first 2 rows of panels. Finish-off the end of row 2, with the previously off-cut 1/3rd piece. "Water-bond" Brick Pattern & G

12" x 24" Install a 12-inch wide strip of plywood to secure the panels together and provide an offset for further plywood sheeting. 12" x 36" 12" x 96" Secure the plywood to the panels with 1 1/4" screws. Counter-sink screws. DO NOT SCREW INTO THE FLOOR BELOW. & Continue installation of panels Install plywood sheets as required to secure panels. H

& PRO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION The Freedom Step System has the highest acoustic isolation available of any 'floating-floor'. Key to its performance are the cordiform shaped isolators of compressible elastomer, surrounded by an acoustic absorptive media that mitigates cavity resonance. The underside of each panel is fitted with nine deceleration isolation pads, these cordiform structures are designed to dynamically absorb impact, while compensating for varying 'live-loads' across the floor. Due to the cordate designed profile of the isolation pads, contact with in-situ floor is reduced by approximately 99% making Freedom Step a true floating and sprung floor.
