2 Pinelodge the original Pinelog is a quality timber building specialist with over 30 years design and build experience. The actual concept of manufacturing a mobile home in timber and in two halves evolved in the 1970 s when Pinelog came up with the blueprint for the original Pinelodge. Pinelodges have been built for holiday parks and private individuals all over the UK from the Shetland Islands to Cornwall. Built to last, many of these early lodges are still in everyday use as holiday homes either in their original locations or relocated to other sites. In the early 1990 s Pinelog entered into holiday park ownership and currently runs two very successful parks in the Derbyshire Peak District. Operating as a lodge manufacturer and park operator gives Pinelog a unique insight into customer expectations and market trends. This insight is translated into stylish and practical Pinelodge designs which are tested and refined at our own holiday parks. These are designs that work and will go on working. We are always happy to discuss bespoke designs. All Pinelodges are built to order and we can usually incorporate those little changes that add your personal signature.

3 sustainability our green credentials Pinelog is, and always has been, committed to building environmentally friendly and sustainable lodges. All of the following environmentally friendly features are standard with Pinelodges: All the timber we use is PEFC rated and comes from responsibly managed forests. Structural support for the lodges comes from laminated timber beams. Unlike other mobile home manufacturers, we do not use a high carbon footprint metal chassis. External walls are 150 mm thick. Our standard insulation to walls, floor and roof provides thermal efficiency beyond the requirements of BS EN 3632 : Attention to manufacturing detail means that air permeability and CO2 emission rates are equivalent to Building Regulations. External cladding is either Scandinavian redwood (which is pressure treated using an environmentally friendly water-based treatment) or larch, which is a durable and resilient wood which does not need chemical treatment to preserve it. Double Glazed doors and windows are available in timber or upvc. Large areas of glazing allow sunlight to enter the building, encouraging solar gain and minimising the requirement for electric lighting during the darker months of the year. Roof tiles are produced by a company awarded ISO accreditation proving that the production of the tiles is consistent with environmental protection and that the product does not harm the environment. We use low energy lighting and supply energy efficient white goods. Where a gas supply is available we will fit an energy efficient condensing boiler. Electric heating is provided via low wattage panel heaters with thermostatic and timer controls. We fit dual flush toilets along with water saving showers and taps wherever possible. Sustainable technology is developing at a fast pace and we are keen to incorporate developments which are suitable for our Pinelodges. Please speak to us if you have any specific requirements in this area.

4 bespoke modular design adding your signature The Pinelodge structure and modular method of manufacture is immensely versatile and can be adapted to provide good looking and relocatable buildings for use in a more commercial environment. 5 impor tant information that you should know Planning Permission A Pinelodge can be sited anywhere with planning permission for a holiday caravan. It may be possible to site a Pinelodge within the grounds of your own house under the terms of Permitted Development. However, we would strongly advise you to discuss your own position with your local authority. Should you wish to site a Pinelodge on a greenfield site then planning permission will almost certainly be required. Buying a Pinelodge As well as owning our own holiday parks, where Pinelodges are available for purchase and holiday rental, we also work with a number of independent holiday parks throughout the UK. An up to date list of these parks is always available on our website: Delivery, Siting and Access Because Pinelodges are pre-manufactured in our factory, disruptive on site building time is minimised and siting is usually completed within 4 5 days of delivery. Pinelodges are delivered to site on transporter lorries and you will need a height clearance of around 4.9m (16 ft) and a width clearance of around 4.5m (15 ft). If there is any doubt about access we will survey this on your behalf. Prices quoted in our price list are ex works and we will advise accurate delivery and siting costs at quotation stage. You will need to provide a suitable base and services such as water, foul drainage and electricity. Should you be interested in a lodge for residential use, we recommend that you contact a suitable residential park direct and discuss your requirements with the park owner.
