1 Architecture Interior Design Graphic Design Facility Planning NOTICE TO ALL CONTRACTORS AND SUB-CONTRACTORS - December 20 th, 2017 Saline County Community Corrections Office, Tenant Finish Salina KS Proj ADDENDUM NO. 1 YOU ARE INSTRUCTED TO READ AND TO NOTE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED CHANGES, CORRECTIONS, CLARIFICATIONS, OMISSIONS, DELETIONS, ADDITIONS, APPROVALS AND STATEMENTS PERTINENT TO THE CONTRACT AND CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. THIS ADDENDUM IS A PART OF THE CONTRACT AND CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND SHALL GOVERN IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE WORK. GENERAL 1. Clarifications: A. Sheet D1.1 Existing ceiling runs from north to south. Refer to revised sheet A1.2 clarifying ceiling direction 2. Sheet A1.1: A. General Architectural Notes Note B Change 3/4 plywood to 1/2 thick plywood. Clarification Plywood to be located from 12 a.f.f. to 5 a.f.f. Above and below plywood, install the 1/2" hat channels. B. Partition Schedule Partition Type 6 has been added. Reference attached Revised Sheet A1.1. C. Detail A Floor Plan Modify the layout of the chain link fencing and gates as indicated on the attached revised Sheet A1.1. Gate access to exterior fenced area shall be by standard latching gate. No panic gate hardware is to be installed. D. Floor Plan A Bulletin Board shown in Adult Waiting Room #102 is to be provided by owner. Contractor to provide blocking only. E. All New Wall Construction shall be Partition Type 2, unless noted otherwise on Floor Plan A-A1.1 F. Floor Plan A West wall of U.A. Toilets 104 & 106 are to be Partition Type Sheet A1.2: A. Re-used tile (shown as shaded) runs north to south. See revised Partial Reflected Ceiling Plan on attached revised Sheet A1.2. B. Existing walls at rooms 143, 147, 148, and 149 indicated to be one-hour rated, shall be extended to the roof deck above. Walls shall be finished with 5/8 Type X drywall each side of metal stud to meet one hour fire rating requirements of GA File No or equivalent listed fire assembly. C. General Architectural Notes Delete Note 7. (Reference Wall Type legend on Sheet A1.2 for wall heights and locations) 4. Sheet A4.1 Details E, J and P Clarification - Blocking shown needs to be sized to accommodate equipment (paper towel dispensers, shelving, etc.). 5. Sheet A5.1 A. Interior Finish Schedule Under ceiling types, 2x2 Suspended should read 2x4 Suspended. B. Room 104 (U.A. Toilet) East wall to receive Epoxy Paint only, no FRP. C. Room 106 (U.A. Toilet) East wall to receive Epoxy Paint only, no FRP. D. Room 148 (Hall) - existing ceiling to remain in lieu of new 2x4 Suspended. E. Room 149 (Storage) - existing ceiling to remain in lieu of new 2x4 Suspended. Add Note 4: Modify existing ceiling as require for installation of new wall. F. Room 154 (Electrical) - existing ceiling to remain in lieu of new 2x4 Suspended. Add Note 4: Modify existing ceiling as require for installation of new wall. G. Room 156 (Vestibule) Install Walk-off Type Carpet only. No Sealed Concrete in this room. H. Door Schedule Door #108 This door is to have 1/4 laminated glass in lieu of 1/4" tempered glass. Glass shall be type approved as safety glass in door assemblies. I. Detail B Door Types The glazing at door type B is to read B1 in lieu of B2. ARCHITECTURAL Specifications 1. Section Rough Carpentry Paragraph 2.3, Fire-retardant-treated Materials Clarification Blocking concealed in walls to support handrails, millwork, cabinets, windows, and door frames do not need to be fireretardant-treated. 2. Section Gypsum Board Systems Paragraph 2.05.A, All drywall joints and finish shall meet or exceed Level 4 requirements. 3. Section Fire Extinguishers, Cabinets, and Accessories Add this section in its entirety. Section is included with this addendum. 4. Shop Drawings: Indicate cabinet physical dimensions, rough-in measurements for recessed cabinets, wall bracket mounted measurements, and location. B. Product Data: Provide extinguisher operational features, color and finish, and anchorage details. C. Manufacturer s Installation Instructions: Indicate special criteria and wall opening coordination requirements OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE DATA A. Maintenance Data: Include test, refill or recharge schedules and recertification requirements ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS A. Do not install extinguishers when ambient temperature may cause freezing of extinguisher ingredients. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.01 MANUFACTURERS A. LARSEN S - Architectural Series 2409-R3, Vertical Duo Door, baked enamel interior finish. B. Substitutions: Under provisions of the General Requirements EXTINGUISHERS A. Dry Chemical Type: Larsen s MP series MP5, Cast steel tank, with pressure gage CABINETS A. Metal: Formed sheet steel, baked enamel box. B. Configuration: 1) Semi-recessed type, exterior nominal dimensions of 27 1/2 inch high x 13 inch wide x 5 inch deep 3 Locations Total. Check-In 111, Open Office 141, Hallway 147. C. Trim Type: Returned to wall surface, with 2 1/2 inch projection. D. Door and Trim: Baked Enamel finish, color White, reinforced for flatness and rigidity; latch with vertical glass. E. Door Glazing: Glass, clear, 1/8 inch thick tempered. F. Cabinet Mounting Hardware: Appropriate to cabinet ACCESSORIES A. Extinguisher Brackets: Formed steel, enamel finish FABRICATION A. Form cabinet enclosure with right angle inside corners and seams. Form perimeter trim and door stiles. B. Pre-drill for anchors. C. Hinge doors for 180 degree opening with continuous piano hinge. Provide roller type catch. D. Weld, fill, and grind components smooth. E. Glaze doors with resilient channel gasket glazing. 3 PART 3 EXECUTION 3.01 EXAMINATION A. Verify rough openings for cabinet are correctly sized and located INSTALLATION A. Install in accordance with manufacturer s instructions. B. Install cabinets plumb and level in wall openings, 24 inches from finished floor to inside bottom of cabinet. C. Secure rigidly in place. D. Place extinguishers in cabinets. E. 4 SECTION BUILDING SPECIALTIES PART 1 GENERAL 1.01 SECTION INCLUDES A. Building specialties shall be furnished and installed as shown and herein specified. Installation shall be in accordance with the respective manufacturer s instructions. Certain manufacturer s products have been selected as a basic standard, and reference to these products has been made. Other manufacturers products of equal capacities and design characteristics may be used, if approved by the Architect prior to the Bidding. The Contractor shall submit for approval shop drawings or standard cuts and illustrations or a combination thereof showing all items he proposes to use TACK BOARD SURFACE A. Tackboards Fabric faced over manufacturers modular cork backing. Minimum 3/8 tackable, ½ total thickness. ASTM E 84, NFPA 255 Class A flame spread ratings. B. Manufacturer Claridge Products or equal. C. Location and Quantity As indicated on drawings. D. Quantity 1 Total. Waiting Room MARKERBOARD SYSTEM A. Magnetic Marker Boards 3 ply construction; 24 ga. facing sheet, 3/8 particleboard Core,.0015 thick aluminum backing sheet. White Matte finish. Size 4 x6 and 4 x8. B. Metal Trim and accessories:.062 thick aluminum alloy, size and shape as indicated. Manufacturers snap-on trim, no visible screws or exposed joints. 1. Marker Tray: Furnish the manufacturer s standard continuous, solid extrusion type aluminum marker tray with ribbed section and smoothly curved exposed ends, for each marker board. C. Manufacturer Claridge Products D. Quantity 3 Total. Conference Room 137 (4 x8 ); Classrooms 131 and 132 (4 x6 ) CORNER GUARDS A. Install at each outside corner in corridors, install C/S ACROVYN, surface mounted corner guards. B. Color as selected by Architect. Multiple colors to be selected to match walls. C. Full height from 4 a.f.f. to ceiling. D. Use SM-20 for single corners, SSM 25 for end of walls. E. BALCO or IPC corner guards will be considered equal. F. Quantity: As shown on drawings WALL PROTECTION A. Install at waiting areas as shown on drawings. B. Product: C/S ACROVYN. Crash rail color to be selected. Model #FR-225H Crescent Profile. C. Provide end caps and molded corners as required for complete installation. D. Balco or IPC crash rails meeting size and profile requirements will be acceptable. E. Coordinate installation height with owner furniture HANDICAP SIGNAGE A. Interior Signage: Provide restroom signage at the entrance to all restrooms (3 total, Rooms 103, 151, 152). Signage shall include appropriate symbols of accessibility with raised and Braille characters. Match existing styles. Signage type and installation shall be in conformance with ADAAG Guidelines PENETRATION FIRESTOPPING DEVICES A. Install U.L. listed firestopping systems at pipe penetrations through rated wall assemblies. B. Firestopping devices shall be appropriate for the condition being firestopped. Systems shall include but are not limited to firecaulk, pipe collars, pillows, wrap strips, etc. C. Manufacturers: 3M fire Protection Products or equal. Contractor submit specific material/assembly for approval by City of Salina.

5 1.05 ROLLING COIL DOOR A. Manufacturer Raynor Rolling Doors or approved equal. B. Products: Dura Coil Standard, 24ga. steel, Non-insulated powdercoat finish, Manual Push-up operated, Flat slats, Interior face mount, reference drawings, Black guides, Include locking bars, guides, counter balance components, fasteners, anchors, etc. required for complete operational assembly. C. Quantity: 1-Total. (Break Room 134) 1.06 KNOX BOX D. Contact: Salina Fire Department (785) for specification and order forms. E. Product: Surface mounted box. Coordinate location with Salina Fire Department. F. Quantity: 1-Total FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PLASTIC PANELING A. Product - Class A Minimum.090 thickness panel. Include Manufacturer s Aluminum molding at all corners, transitions, joints, and tops, bottoms, etc. B. Product shall be applied using manufacturer recommended adhesive and manufacturer recommended mechanical fasteners. Pre-drill rivet holes and silicone caulk prior to riveting. C. Product shall be as per: Marlite, Sanitary Wall Series, Full range of colors. Mechanical/Storage rooms D. Product shall be Marlite, Symmetrix Wall Series, Full range of color and pattern. All Concession areas. D. Located at Drywall walls as detailed at Toilet Rooms 103, 104, and 106. Symmetrix series. E. Located at sides of mop sink, to 4 A.F.F. Janitor 144. Standard series.
