Manufacturer: Visqueen Building Products. - Web: enquiries@visqueenbuilding.co.uk.. - Product reference: Zedex CPT High Performance Damp Proof Course or similar and approved. - Width: refer to architects details - Cavity trays to be installed on top of lintels as specified by Structural Engineers. - Cavity trays to be surface fixed to inner leaf of existing wall. The surface should be primed, the DPC then bonded to the inner leaf using Visqueen Zedex DPC Fixing Pins at 150mm intervals. All brick, stone or blockwork where a cavity is formed requires a twodimensional linear run of cavity tray formed on site to prevent water ingress to the internal skin. To include all openings, shelf angles, head restraints and where a high level wall is built above a flat or sloping roof. - Preparation/Installation: Ensure Zedex CPT DPC is installed following good practice set out in BS 5628: Part 3: All cavity trays must be laid on an even bed of wet mortar in both internal and external walls or alternatively face-fixed to the internal leaf using Zedex DPC Fixing Strip & Pins (Grey Fixing Pins for masonry/ Black Fixing Pins for RUF insulation) and laid in the external mortar bed. All lap joints in the cavity tray must have 100mm overlap and be completely sealed using Zedex DPC Jointing Tape. All changes in direction and/ or level require the application of a Visqueen Preformed Unit. Ensure all joints between Preformed Unit and Zedex CPT DPC are sealed as above. Complete all work strictly in accordance with Agrément Certificate 94/ The jointing tape to be used to seal all DPC/Cavity tray/dpm joints. Page 4 of 6
