4 Foreword Designers and Constructors must only use either third party certified or Sydney Water approved engineering products. This document contains a list of product specifications, which have been adopted by Sydney Water, for standard engineering products. All standard engineering products must have third party product certification issued by an authorised conformity assessment body as a condition of their use in Sydney Water. The certifications are evidence of their conformity to the relevant product specifications listed in this document. It is the responsibility of the Designers and Constructors to only specify, procure and install the standard engineering products that have valid certifications. Refer to the List of Approved Non-Standard Products for information on non-standard engineering products that have been approved for use by Sydney Water. You can also refer to our procedure on Engineering Products Approval for on engineering products. Products used in water supply must have current product certification and evidence of compliance to AS/NZS 4020 Testing of products for use in contact with drinking water that is no older than 5 years old. Sydney Water reserves the right to alter, amend or withdraw this document, at any time, without prior notice. We welcome any question, feedback or suggestions.
