2 2 ESSERGULLY The system for safe conventional drainage The tried and trusted system for the internal drainage of flat roofs is gravity drainage. This is a conventional system that drains flat roofs via roof gullies and an inclined pipeline system. It is regulated by DIN EN Part 3 and DIN 1986 Part 100. The essergully system is the optimal programme for the purpose flexible, reliable and long-lasting. Combining visual appeal with convincing functionality, different variants and accessories permit ideal adaptation to all kinds of flat roofs, balconies and terraces. The DIN standard requires a main and an emergency water drainage for all flat roofs. The emergency drainage must start up automatically whenever the main drainage unit is overburdened. To prevent rainwater from entering the emergency drains even during normal rain, they are installed with a defined accumulation level. The accumulation level follows the accumulation height of the main drainage as determined by the expert planner. This usually amounts to 35 mm. The emergency drainage is therefore set at an accumulation height of 35 mm. The accumulation element enables all essergully systems to be expanded to an emergency overflow. The accumulation element is simply inserted into the inlet cup of the gully. The accompanying sealing ring ensures backflow-proof sealing. The desired accumulation height can be infinitely adjusted between 35 and 100 mm with the aid of the adjustable threaded feet.
