1 THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF YORK POLICE SERVICES BOARD ADDENDUM # 3 TO YRP T APRIL 04, 2018 TOTAL NUMBER OF PAGES - 18 For: ADDITIONS WORK AT THE COMMUNITY SAFETY VILLAGE OF YORK REGION, LOCATED AT 3291 STOUFFVILLE ROAD, IN THE TOWN OF WHITCHURCH- STOUFFVILLE, ON All Bidders are advised by this addendum to incorporate the following changes/or clarifications to the above noted Document. This Addendum forms part of the Bid Documents and is to be read, interpreted and coordinated with al other parts. The cost of all work contained herein is to be included in the bid sum. The Specifications and Drawings are complementary. Items listed under the Specifications in this Addendum and having influence on the Drawings are so deemed to alter the Drawings. Items listed under the Drawings in the Addendum and having influence on the Specifications are so deemed to alter the Specifications. This Addendum contains the following (18 page total): 5 typewritten pages (216 x 279 mm) 6 detail sheets (216 x 279 mm) 5 pages Interior Materials and Finishes Schedule (216 x 279 mm) 2 large drawings (730 x 1100 mm) Addendum for T Page 1

2 1. QUESTION: Wallworks was wondering if they can be accepted as an alternate product for the acoustic wood panel ceilings? ANSWER: Alluratone 750 PERFection by Wallworks (supplied by Rulon International) can be used as an alternate to the Microperf wood panels by ACGI specified in the Contract documents. Finish and perforation specifications to be matched. 2. QUESTION: According to Interior Materials and Finishes Schedule CPT 1-3 TBD. Please confirm. ANSWER: Refer to revised Interiors Materials and Finishes Schedule, dated April 03, 2018 and re-issued with Addendum No. 3. Revisions have been made to the entire document in red, corrections have been crossed out, and additional information has been added. 3. CLARIFICATION: On 2/F201 Room 133 Global Classroom, and Room Closet are to receive new CPT.2 carpet tile flooring. CPT.3 has been deleted, as per Interiors Materials and Finishes Schedule, dated March 29, 2018 and re-issued with Addendum No CLARIFIATION: Rooms 121-Lunch, 124 Waiting, 125 Reception, 126 Print/Copy, 127 Meeting, 128 Open Office, and Office are to receive new CPT.1 tile carpet flooring. On 1/F201 Room 121, delete note Ex. Carpet Floor Finish. 5. ADD Display Case millwork to the scope of the project. Refer to Architectural Details AD01, AD02, AD03, AD03A and AD03B, dated April 03, 2018 and issued with Addendum No. 3. Refer to revised Architectural Drawing 2/A201 and 3/A201, dated April 03, 2018 and issued with Addendum No QUESTION: With reference to Construction Access Drawing A-102 please provide the specs for Hoarding and Protective Fence during Construction. CLARIFICATION: Refer to Section Temporary Facilities, sub-section 1.11 Barriers and sub-section 1.12 Tree Protection. Also, refer to revised Architectural Drawing A102, dated April 03, 2018 and re-issued with Addendum No DELETE Tack Boards (TB) from 2/A201 and 3/A QUESTION: What are the specs for ADO? 3 ANSWER: 9. QUESTION: Who is the Base Building fire alarm contractor? ANSWER: A Base Building fire alarm contractor is not required for the project. 10. QUESTION: Please provide the contacts for mandatory Base Building Contractors if applicable. ANSWER: Refer to Question 3, issued with Addendum No QUESTION: During the site visit we were informed that this is Conservation Authority Land. Do we have to take any permit from them for construction purposes? If this is required, then who will be responsible for getting the permit and paying the applicable charges? ANSWER: The Region has a Building Permit from the Town of Whitchurch- Stouffville. There is no additional permit required from the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. 12. QUESTION: All noisy work to be done from 7am to 9 am and after 2:30 pm. Is this correct? ANSWER: This is correct. However, exceptions can be made when it is not possible to maintain noise levels down outside of those time frames. Co-ordinate work with the owner. 13. QUESTION: If found necessary, can we do work on weekends and afternoons? ANSWER: Work in the afternoon is permitted. Exceptions may apply and must be co-ordinated with the owner. Work on the weekends is not permitted. 14. QUESTION: In bid submission section under schedule of prices base scope of work item #1 is calling for Lump Sum price for lead abatement, while there are no documents Addendum for T Page 3

4 provided to review the locations and the extent. Please clarify if this item is required or an error. ANSWER: The Schedule of Prices Base Scope of Prices has been corrected to Lump Sum Price for Additions Work at the Community Safety Village of York Region from Lump sum price for lead abatement. 15. QUESTION: We have to fill price for abatement in the pricing form, but we are not able to find any DSS report. Please provide. CLARIFICATION: There is no requirement for abatement work as part of this project. 16. QUESTION: Please provide roof anchors plan as it is not shown on A200 section 2 of roof plan. ANSWER: Refer to Architectural Detail AD05 Roof Anchors, dated April 04, 2018 and issued with Addendum No QUESTION: Please provide the scope of planting and planting list to be included in the Tender. ASNWER: There is no new planting in the scope of work. The Contractor is responsible for making good or replacing existing planting and sod where it is affected by construction. 18. QUESTION: Will the successful GC be provided with enough parking during the construction period? ANSWER: The successful GC can use Staff Parking available at the Safety Village, provided that it does not interfere with Summer Camp activities. Alternate parking can be arranged with the owner. 19. QUESTION: Will the successful GC be allowed to use existing water and electricity free of charge? ANSWER: Yes, the successful GC can use existing water and electricity free of charge, but must provide temporary portable toilets for use by their workers. 20. QUESTION: Section security clearance is calling to refer to Paragraph 25 of the Bid Form, Security Clearance, which is not found in the bid form. ANSWER: Refer to Paragraph 25 - Security Clearance on the 12 th page (unnumbered) of the RFT document. Addendum for T Page 4

QUESTION: Please provide the missing items specified under door schedule Table of Contents.2 Door Types.3 Door Frame Types ANSWER: Refer to Architectural Details DS-1 and DS-2 for Door Types and DS-3 and DS-4 for Door Frame Details, dated July 2017 and issued with the Tender documents.
