The Commission also reserves the right to cancel this offer at its sole discretion at any time before execution of a Contract Agreement. 2 FIRST 5 CONTRA COSTA REQUEST FOR BIDS Interior Furnishings East County First 5 Center Tenant Improvement SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission (hereafter the Commission or First 5 Contra Costa ), is seeking a qualified vendor to provide interior furnishings for the East County First 5 Center. Please review the following materials for scope of work and instructions for how to respond to this Request for Bids. Complete bids are due by Friday, November 9, 2018, no later than 12:00 noon. There is no expressed or implied obligation for the Commission to reimburse responding organizations for any expenses incurred in preparing a response to this Request for Bids. SECTION 2: BACKGROUND FIRST 5 CONTRA COSTA The First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission was formed nearly two decades ago to distribute tobacco tax funds generated from Proposition 10 to help children from the prenatal stage to age five grow up healthy, nurtured, and ready to learn. First 5 Contra Costa allocates over $9 million every year to local organizations and programs. More information about First 5 Contra Costa and its funded services can be found at THE EAST COUNTY FIRST 5 CENTER First 5 Centers provide a variety of programs and activities for families with young children. The Commission last year purchased the site at 355 East Leland Ave. in Pittsburg, CA to serve families in the great Pittsburg area. The center will be the largest First 5 Center yet in Contra Costa. Renovation of the existing standalone, single-story, shopping-center commercial building (approximately 6,855sf) is expected to begin in Summer, 2018 with completion by the end of January SECTION 3: SCOPE OF WORK AND REQUIREMENTS Selected vendor will provide identified interior furnishings as required by this project s floor plan diagram (Attachment A), and interior finishes-color & material board (Attachment B). Up to $45, including tax, delivery and installation has been allocated for this project. Cost should be reasonable and well justified. SECTION 4: SUBMISSION INFORMATION HOW TO RESPOND Based on this project s Floor plan and Interior finishes-color & material board, please provide a clear and concise bid proposal responding to the following: 1. Finishes/colors will be standard grade options case goods to be maple color 2. Fabrics should be standard grade options 3. Conference room chairs must be padded, nesting/stacking, mesh or easy to clean fabric, casters and armless 4. Conference room tables must be moveable/foldable, have locking casters, with durable top material 5. Guest chairs without arms 6. Task chairs must be ergonomically adjustable with mesh back with adjustable height arms with seat slider 7. All cabinets and rolling peds to be lockable 8. Provide Manufacture and style (not to exceed 2 options) 9. Podium without electronics 10. Indemnify First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission. SUBMISSION Please submit the complete bid by Friday, November 9, 2018, no later than 12:00 noon.
