2 PAGE 2 of EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Project Description: The project consists of the revitalization of Minnesota Avenue starting from 300 feet south of Benning Road, N.E. intersection to Sheriff Road, N.E. The project will improve pedestrian & vehicular traffic through the area and also improve the aesthetics of the neighborhood. Work includes removal of existing rigid pavement and replacing with a flexible pavement, removal of existing sidewalk and replacing with permeable concrete and exposed aggregate sidewalk, removal and replacement of curb and gutter, sign installation and pavement markings as shown on project plans and indicated in the specifications and special provisions. Also, incorporated into in the project is Low Impact Development (LID) work, lighting and traffic signals. The project is also a pilot for DC Plug. The project is 90.00% Federally-Funded and 10.00% District-Funded. DDOT selected Fort Myer Construction Corporation as the contractor and awarded the $19,751, contract on July 21, DDOT issued notice to proceed with contract work to FMCC on September 11, 2017 with work to begin and a completion date of October 28, Contract Schedules: 2. 4 PAGE 4 of STATUS OF CONSTRUCTION / PROGRESS SUMMARY Work this week was performed during the day on Monday November 20, 2017 thru Saturday November 25, Work included electrical duct bank, electrical manhole, installation of catch basin and PCC connecting pipes. Monday 12/04/2017: FMCC/OMNI: Performed the installation of LF of 1-2 Schedule 40 Ridge PCC Connecting Pipes at various locations between M31 and M35. Man holes MH-23 and MH-39 were excavated during the night shit and covered with traffic plates. Tuesday 12/05/2017: FMCC/OMNI: Fort Myer crew spent the day encasing all the placed lateral conduits from Monday s work in concrete. A total load of 3 CY of concrete was used. Scheduled night work was cancelled. Wednesday 12/06/2017: FMCC/OMNI: Trench excavation from M30 to M31 was started and completed. Holes were punched between Sta and for hard surface excavation which thus commenced During the night work, two (2) PCC base slabs were placed for M23 and M30 respectively with a total 4 CY of concrete. Thursday 12/07/2017: Omni continued working on MH-23 and MH-39 installing brick manholes. FMCC conducted common and hard surface excavation in the middle of Minnesota Ave from station to station to a depth of 21 and hauled away CY of common excavation and CY of hard surface material. FMCC continued utility trench excavation M-35 to M-34. Installed 6-4 Rigid PVC M-30 to M-31(45 LF) and M-35 to M-34 (58 LF) Friday 12/08/2017: Omni two work crews continued working on the installation of the new storm drain manholes at stations (MH-23) and station (MH-39). Work continued and finished the installation of the required brick riser and steps for two manholes. Saturday 12/09/2017: No work performed

5 PAGE 5 of ISSUES / ACTION ITEMS New Issues / Items: 1) MH 39 a. The location for installation for this manhole was moved 19-4 west and 4 south from the proposed due to conflict with Pepco pole #5954. Also, pole #5954 as presently located is in the middle of proposed inlet structure I-76 as shown in the design drawings.. Onging Issues / Items: None Action Items: None 5. MEETINGS / PROJECT COORDINATION The 12th progress meeting was conducted this week period. Where; WMATA Requested an inter-agency meeting with DDOT to resolve ADA concerns and construction phasing issues at the Kiss-N-Ride parking lot. 6. INSPECTION & MATERIAL TESTS PERFORMED Construction work performed this reporting period was monitored by Belstar on site personnel as well as DDOT assigned personnel. Inspection reports were prepared daily and are on file (hardcopy as well as electronic copy).
