2 PAGE 2 of EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Project Description: The project consists of the revitalization of Minnesota Avenue starting from 300 feet south of Benning Road, N.E. intersection to Sheriff Road, N.E. The project will improve pedestrian & vehicular traffic through the area and also improve the aesthetics of the neighborhood. Work includes removal of existing rigid pavement and replacing with a flexible pavement, removal of existing sidewalk and replacing with permeable concrete and exposed aggregate sidewalk, removal and replacement of curb and gutter, sign installation and pavement markings as shown on project plans and indicated in the specifications and special provisions. Also, incorporated into in the project is Low Impact Development (LID) work, lighting and traffic signals. The project is also a pilot for DC Plug. The project is 90.00% Federally-Funded and 10.00% District-Funded. DDOT selected Fort Myer Construction Corporation as the contractor and awarded the $19,751, contract on July 21, DDOT issued notice to proceed with contract work to FMCC on September 11, 2017 with work to begin and a completion date of October 28, Contract Schedules: 2. 4 PAGE 4 of STATUS OF CONSTRUCTION / PROGRESS SUMMARY Work this week was performed during the day on Monday December 11, 2017 thru Saturday December 16, Work included electrical duct bank, electrical manhole, installation of catch basin and PCC connecting pipes. Monday 12/11/2017: FMCC/OMNI: FMCC completed roadway excavation to grade level along Minnesota Ave between Dix St. and Benning Rd NE. (Stations to ). The three locations slated for undercutting by DDOT QA/QC Inspector were undercut and recycled material was used for the backfilling and was compacted with a roller. Total excavation quantities are CY each for common ( ) and hard surface ( ) respectively. During the night activities, FMCC excavated and installed utility manhole M-38 ( ; 1 each) and excavated utility trench from M-38 to M-39 between the concrete barriers. And Omni finished installation of brick and mortar for storm drain MH-23 and MH-39. Back filled manholes with RC-6 to grade. No DDOT technician on site for density test of back fills. Tuesday 12/12/2017: FMCC/OMNI: Fort Myer crew continued on an ongoing trench excavation for electric PVC Piping between M39and M38 - Day work Night work done - Omni and FMCC placed temporary asphalt at storm drain manholes MH-23 & MH-39 and also for the utility trench from M35 to M34. Omni saw-cutted and excavated from storm drain manhole M-23A to EX-83 Sta FMCC continued utility trench excavation along E/B Benning Rd from storm inlet Ex-85 to utility manhole M34. They installed PVC M-38 to M-39 and continued M-35 to M-34. Quantities for the day are: (23.50 VLF) Manhole; (62 LF) 6-4" PVC; (20 LF) 6-4" & 2-2" PVC. Wednesday 12/13/2017: FMCC/OMNI: Day construction activities were cancelled. Night construction work - FMCC - Excavate utility trench to M-34 and M-34 to M-33 - Install M-34 ( ; 1 each) - Place 9 CY of concrete for utility trench between M-35 & M-34 Omni - Excavate and remove existing storm drain pipe between MH-23A & EX-83 - Install support of excavation in trench area - Cut into EX-83 to install new pipe for MH-23A Thursday 12/14/2017: Day Shift - FMCC continued utility trench excavation M-39 to M-38. Installed (20 LF) 6-4" PVC; (15 LF) 6-4" & 1-2" PVC; and (15 LF) 6-4 & 2-2 During the Night Shift - FMCC continued utility excavation E/B Benning Rd. from east of M34 to M33. Stop at bus stop west half - Installed conduit to M34 and M34 to M33

Also, the duct bank PVC electric pipe within work area was encased in concrete. Contractor also did asphalt patching along the backfilling with about tons of asphalt. Night Work: FMCC 1st Shift (7pm - 4:30am) continued excavation of utility trench through Metro Bus stop into existing manhole at L.O.D Benning Rd east - Installed 6-4" PVC conduit ( ) 68 LF - Placed temporary asphalt for utility trench Benning Rd East (18.99 Ton) also used with Omni storm drain FMCC 2nd Shift (6am-10am) - Placed 27 CY of concrete for utility trench from existing utility manhole Benning Rd east at L.O.D to inlet EX Omni - Placed temporary asphalt in the intersection of Benning Rd & Minnesota Ave (EX-83 to MH-23A) Saturday 12/16/2017: No work performed

6 PAGE 6 of ISSUES / ACTION ITEMS New Issues / Items: None Onging Issues / Items: 1) MH 39 The location for installation for this manhole was moved 19-4 west and 4 south from the proposed due to conflict with Pepco pole #5954. Also, pole #5954 as presently located is in the middle of proposed inlet structure I-76 as shown in the design drawings. An RFI has been issued. Action Items: None 5. MEETINGS / PROJECT COORDINATION The 13th progress meeting was conducted this week period. Where; WMATA requested an inter-agency meeting with DDOT to resolve ADA concerns and construction phasing issues at the Kiss-N-Ride parking lot. FMCC also requested DDOT resolve WMATA s concerns as this was holding up their construction permit approval from WMATA. 6. INSPECTION & MATERIAL TESTS PERFORMED Construction work performed this reporting period was monitored by Belstar on site personnel as well as DDOT assigned personnel. Inspection reports were prepared daily and are on file (hardcopy as well as electronic copy). In addition, a copy was sent to the designer on record, AMT Consultants, for a decision on the viability of using S Type basin in lieu of the proposed design inlet for I- 76. Submittals: - There are 253 material submittals to date. See attached Submittal Log for current status.
