1 PVC KOERU Static-Dissipative Plastic Panels Globally, professional manufacturing industries and research facilities have a high-level requirement towards maintaining dust-free environments. Frequently, the proper treatment of static electricity in manufacturing environments has a direct impact on the quality of manufactured products. The use of Static-Dissipative panels as building materials or in machine covers and shields, has become indispensable in many such static electricity-sensitive manufacturing environments. Power-in Global s has thus created its SD range of highly functional static-dissipative panels for use in manufacturing facilities for the semiconductors, liquid crystal displays (LCDs), electronic, medical, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, precision engineering, and biotechnological industries. The panels can come in PVC, PC or PMMA substrates, depending on usage and environmental requirements. Features Surface resistivity towards static electricity is valued at Ω/cm2, so the material is able to withstand static electricity for a prolonged period, unaffected by temperature and humidity. The anti-static property is also not altered by thermoforming processes. PVC Superior drug-resistance Fire resistance (according to UL-94 V-0 standards) High voltage resistance PC Fire resistance (available in UL-94 V-0 or UL-94 V-2 standards) High impact resistance High heat resistance PMMA High transparency rate High light transmittance

SC -material is slightly affected by solvent/ solution, with slight visible change in surface appearance, and surface resistance is unchanged. NG -material is affected by solvent/ solution, with visible change in surface appearance. The tests show that the appearance of the SD series products is not affected by the use of alcoholic solvents on the surfaces. In environments with highly corrosive substances, it is recommended to use SD panels which has gone through special chemical-resistant treatment, so as to reduce panel material damage.

The surface resistance remains at post-production standards of E6~8Ω despite the material undergoing 1500-cycle Isopropyl Alcohol and Ethanol wipe tests. For daily cleaning, dust-free microfiber cloths (with some alcohol if desired) are recommended. Should there be obvious scratches on the material surface, it is necessary to immediately test the material to check if the surface resistivity level is affected by the scratches. If the surface resistivity is indeed affected, it is recommended for the panel to be replaced. The anti-static performance of the product may be affected by use or maintenance habits, and thus the test values listed above are for application reference only, and do not form the basis for any official guarantees or citations.

Properties of panels that have undergone further processing or installation processes may have been altered, and thus Power-In Global is not able to warrant any physical properties that are the result of such further alterations. Power-In Global also has no direct control over the correct use of the panels, or the use of the panels as part of a final design. The information provided here shall not constitute any expressed or implied warranty or guarantee by Power-In Global, and shall not be used as the basis for applications other than those recommended.

9 Usage Precautions 1. When considering the use of Static Dissipative Plastic Panels, it is necessary to consider the surrounding temperature, presence of chemicals, the effect of UV-rays, external pressure, as well as other environmental conditions. 2. Physical properties and other values listed are obtained from standard laboratory tests, and do not constitute any basis for performance guarantee. 3. It is necessary to ensure that other materials used in conjunction or in the immediate vicinity of Static Dissipative Plastic Panels do not contain any agents that may damage the panels. (E.g. elastic PVC and rubber.) Installation Precautions 1. During installation of the Static Dissipative Plastic Panels, it is necessary to put on basic protective gear (such as gloves and goggles), as well as use the correct tools and machines. 2. Fumes or other gaseous substances may be emitted during the cutting and welding process of the Static Dissipative Plastic Panels. It is thus necessary to ensure that the installation site is sufficiently ventilated. 3. When installation is done with adhesives or solvents, it is necessary to take precaution against gas poisoning, fire, explosions and other inherent dangers. It is again necessary to ensure sufficient ventilation at the installation site, and adhere to use precautions of the individual materials and substances used for installation. Disposal of surplus materials 1. Flame-resistant PVC panels, would generate poisonous fumes when burnt. Do not incinerate itself. 2. Waste disposal guidelines should be adhered to. Storage and Transport 1. It is recommended to store the panels in a shaded and well-ventilated location that is not exposed to direct sunlight. 2. During transportation, it is necessary to shield the panels from direct sunlight, such as through the use of anti-uv canvas sheets. It is also recommended to transport the panels using an open-box type vehicle to maintain ventilation and lower temperatures during transportation.
