3 COMMERCIAL AND CIVIL CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING The Newlands Group is a privately-owned Australian company, specialising in commercial construction, industry-leading civil construction and engineering services, delivering a full range of construction services from design through to completion. We have successfully delivered high-value projects for clients in both the private and public sectors from roads to multi-rise buildings; shopping centres to residential sub-divisions; oil and gas infrastructure to school buildings. We have proven experience servicing aged care, health, education, government, industrial and retail sectors. Our in-house RPEQ qualified civil and structural engineers, draftsmen and technicians support both our civil and commercial divisions. This engineering capability ensures that all of our clients projects are extensively reviewed prior to construction commencement, ensuring that any design issues are identified early to minimise possible project delays. We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver projects on time and on budget. We have demonstrated capacity to deliver projects in remote and regional environments where access to resources is challenging and logistics and planning are paramount. Our extensive engineering design experience, coupled with our civil and commercial construction capabilities, allows us to work closely with clients to deliver cost-effective projects from conception through to completion. We assemble specialised project teams to meet the unique needs of each project. We employ skilled professionals with experience in all forms of commercial construction from industrial sheds through to multi-rise residential complexes. We have access to the right resources and tools to do the job and can draw on our extensive plant and equipment inventory for civil works and construction to minimise project delays and complications. We have invested heavily in IT infrastructure and the latest technology to ensure that the efficiency, standard and consistency of our delivery is the best it can be. Our graders and loaders are GPS enabled to remove the need for infield survey and staking. All light vehicles contain IVMS to better manage our employee fatigue and compliance. Our Integrated Management System is fully digital, increasing engagement and conformance with its requirements. Employees time is recorded electronically, reducing our paper footprint and processing time. We are innovative, nimble and combine a lean management approach with highly skilled workforce to ensure high-performance delivery, regardless of the complexity or location of our clients projects.
