2 GENERAL NOTES. ASSESSMENT OF THE CONDITION/STRUCTURAL ADEQUACY/STABILITY OF THE EXISTING 2" DIA. TIMBER PILES WAS OUTSIDE OF THE PROJECT SCOPE. ALL INFORMATION PRESENTED IN THESE PLANS ASSUMES THE 2" DIA. TIMBER PILES ARE IN SOUND CONDITION, STABLE AND STRUCTRUALLY ADEQUATE. PILE DETERIORATION INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPACT DAMAGE, DECAY, ROT, AND/OR MARINE BORER INFESTATION SHALL BE REPORTED TO THE ENGINEER IMMEDIATELY AND PRIOR TO CONTINUATION OF WORK. 2. CONTRACTOR TO FIELD VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS AND JOB SITE CONDITIONS BEFORE COMMENCING WORK. ANY DISCREPENCIES SHALL BE REPORTED TO THE ENGINEER PRIOR TO PROCEDING WITH WORK. STRUCTURAL DAMAGE: THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DAMAGES BY HIS OPERATION TO EXISTING STRUCTURES THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED AS PART OF THE INTENDED WORK. ALL DAMAGE TO EXISTING STRUCTURES THAT IS NOT PART OF THE INTENDED WORK SHALL BE REPAIRED/REPLACED/RESTORED BY THE CONTRACTOR TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE ENGINEER WITHOUT COST TO THE COUNTY. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUMBIT AN EROSION CONTROL PLAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 04 OF THE FDOT STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROAD AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION. THE PLAN SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO MEASURES TO CONTROL TURBIDITY, CONTAINMENT AND DISPOSAL OF CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS, AND A SPILL CONTROL AND REPORTING PLAN. 3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTRUCT ALL PERSONNEL OF THE POTENTIAL PRESENCE OF PROTECTED MAMMALS, REPTILES, AND BIRDS.
