1 Exterior Trellis Painting Horticulture 000 & Soquel Dr, Aptos, CA 900 Exterior Painting of Building 000 SCOPE OF SERVICES BASE RESPONSIBILITIES: Paint the exterior of Horticulture Building 000 all surface areas including, but not limited to; trim, doors, ferrous apparatuses, Galvanized steel, exterior wood, stucco, ferrous metal and aluminum. Additive Alternative : Paint Interior Surfaces, including, but not limited doors, trims, ferrous apparatuses, in Horticulture Buildings 000 & 000 Restrooms encircled and shown on s & 7 of the Project Plans and as per Project Specifications. PROJECT DESCRIPTION To provide the construction duties located at Building 000 Exterior Paint. Work includes, but is not limited to demolition and painting duties in accordance with the Project Drawings and Specifications. Includes; power washing mechanical agitation of all exterior materials including galvanized steel, wood, stucco, doors, and windows to remove mildew and dirt. Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and spot priming. All surfaces to be painted with coats finish. All galvanized steel to be prepped, scraped, Bondo applied and blended at drifting edges, sanded, wiped down and coated with acrylic primer finish coating and coats of finish paint as per Project Specifications. An additive alternate is included to paint the interior of the bathrooms for Buildings 000 & 00. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DIMENSIONS AND EXISTING CONDITIONS THE CONTRACTOR IS TO UNDERSTAND THAT ANY FEATURE OF CONSTRUCTION NOT FULLY SHOWN OR DETAILED SHALL BE OF THE SAME TYPE AS SHOWN ON SIMILAR CONDITIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE VISITED THE SITE AND SATISFIED THEMSELVES AS TO THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THE WORK IS TO BE PERFORMED. THEY SHALL CHECK EXISTING CONDITIONS WHICH MAY AFFECT THEIR WORK. DO NOT SCALE THE DRAWINGS. CABRILLO COLLEGE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT MUST BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY OF ANY DEVIATIONS OR VARIATIONS FROM THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS DURING THE BIDDING PROCESS. DURING CONSTRUCTION IMMEDIATELY REPORT TO THE DISTRICT ANY ERRORS, OMISSIONS, OR UNCLEAR DIRECTIONS TO THE PROJECT MANAGER. IN BOTH CASES, THE DISTRICT WILL EVALUATE THE PROBLEM AND MAKE A WRITTEN INTERPRETATION. SURVEY FIELD CONDITIONS AND VERIFY FEASIBILITY OF INDICATED WORK. FURNISH ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES, TRANSPORTATION, AND SERVICES REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE JOB AS SHOWN AND SPECIFIED. ALL WORK AND MATERIALS SPECIFIED HEREIN AND SHOWN ON DRAWINGS SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT. ANY REQUEST FOR ALTERATIONS OR SUBSTITUTIONS MUST BE PRESENTED DIRECTLY TO THE PROJECT MANAGER, ACCOMPANIED BY A DETAILS SKETCH, FOR REVIEWS, BEFORE ANY APPROVAL WILL BE GIVEN AND BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK. NO CHANGES IN THE APPROVED PLANS SHALL BE MADE WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL OF THE PROJECT MANAGER. ALL PERMITS, CITY, COUNTY, AND STATE, SHALL BE OBTAINED BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION. CONTRACTOR AGREES THAT IN ACCORDANCE WITH GENERALLY ACCEPTED CONSTRUCTION PRACTICES, CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO ASSUME SOLE AND COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY FOR JOB SITE CONDITIONS DURING THE COURSE OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROJECT, INCLUDING SAFELY OF ALL PERSONS AND PROPERTY; THAT THIS REQUIREMENT SHALL BE MADE TO APPLY CONTINUOUSLY AND NOT BE LIMITED TO NORMAL WORKING HOURS, AND CONTRACTOR FURTHER AGREES TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD THE PROJECT MANAGER HARMLESS FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY RISING FROM THE SOLE NEGLIGENCE OF THE PROJECT MANAGER. USE ALL MEANS NECESSARY TO PROTECT THE MATERIALS OF THE PROJECT BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER WORK AND TO PROTECT THE WORK AND MATERIALS OF OTHER TRADES. REMOVE ALL DEBRIS PROMPTLY FROM SITE.
