2 Tomball Ford IMAGE REMODEL & ADDITIONS INVITATION TO BID 1.1 Project: Tomball Ford Image Remodel & Additions Tomball PKWY. Suite 105 College Station, TX Phone: Phone: Project Architect: Michael Wanja Project Engineer: Jeremy Peters 1.4 Project Description: Construction of image remodel and additions to existing sales, service, parts, and business building in Tomball (Harris County). Work is exclusive of all Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment unless otherwise expressly noted. [Power supplies and connections are included the Contractor s Work Scope.] All construction related permits (building, site development, etc.) are included in the Contractors Scope of Work. Impact or related fees will be the responsibility of the Owner. Construction Testing will be provided as an allowance as instructed in the allowances section of the Project Manual and Bid Proposal Form. 1.5 Bid Date and Time Bids are due by 2:00pm CT, Thursday, March 10th, Contractor may send a copy of its bid package via Proposal Form: A Bid Proposal Form is provided and required to be filled out accordingly as part of your submission. 3 1.7 Bonds: No Bid Bond or Bid Security is required. A Performance and Payment Bond will be required in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum from the successful bidder. Each bidder will accompany its bid with a signed certificate from a surety company acceptable to the Owner stating that such surety will be provided by the bidder, if awarded the Contract. Also indicate the bidder s total bonding capacity, and how much of this capacity is presently used. The cost for the Bond will be indicated on the attached Bid Proposal Form. 1.8 Documents: Each Bidder will be provided with an electronic set of Contract Documents in PDF format for its use. Any printing will and/or costs will be the responsibility of the Bidder. 1.9 Bid Period: No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of the receipt of bids Contract Form: A Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor where the basis of payment is Stipulated Sum Project Schedule: 1. A Letter of Intent to Award a construction contract will be issued within (3) weeks of bid receipt. 2. Provide the number of construction days in the allotted spacing on the Bid Proposal Form which will include weather days and punch list 1.12 Other: 1. Contractor shall provide Builders Risk Insurance coverage for the full value of the Work. Contractor will provide a summary level Critical Path Schedule with its bid form indicating major activities/milestones and proposed Certificate of Occupancy date & Final Completion. [Note: All dates will be referenced in calendar days using receipt of Building Permit as a basis for starting.] February 22, 2016

ARCHITECT The undersigned, having examined the Drawings, Specifications and related documents, the site of the proposed Work, being familiar with all of the conditions relating to the construction of the proposed project, including the availability of materials and labor, hereby proposes to furnish all labor, materials, services, equipment and appliances required in connection with or incidental to the construction of, Tomball Ford Image Remodel & Additions, for the following in strict conformance with the Specifications, Drawings, Addenda and Invitation to Bidders prepared by GOREE ARCHITECTS, INC., itemized as follows: BASE BID AMOUNT OF: The following Addenda have been included: Dollars ( ).. PROJECT CONSTRUCTION TIME (Calendar Days). EXTENDED GENERAL CONDITIONS COST PER DAY: Dollars ( ). Liquidated Damages and Early Completion Bonus: The Owner and Contractor agreement shall include a Liquidated Damages and Early Completion Bonus clause of two thousand dollars per day ($2,000.00/day). Owner shall deduct from the contract sum two thousand dollars per day ($2,000.00/day) for each day that the Contractor exceeds the adjusted construction time. Owner will award the Contractor two thousand dollars per day ($2,000.00/day) for each day of early completion from the adjusted construction time. Approved Change Order(s) will change adjusted time only.

November 5 f. June 6 l. December 4 b. Project construction time may be extended for additional Rain days by Change Order only. c. Project construction time shall commence five (5) working days after receipt of written notice to proceed or receipt of the building permit, whichever is later. d. Project construction time shall include 30 calendar days for the contractor to complete or correct all punch list items incorporated in the Certificate of Substantial Completion. 3. Retainage: Upon entering into contact with owner, 10% of monthly Contractor s Application for Payment will be held in retainage until the completion of the Project.
