Or equivalent to supporting weight of this type in approx 2500 Kgs (note: not weighed or calculated.( to be advised)), and water content.1500 Kg for 1500 Litre Grease trap, or 1000 Kg for 1000 Litre, to ensure the pit level and supported from falling over. All pipes will have to be braced to ensure the pipe don t sage. NOTE: crash barriers or Ballard s must be fitted to prevent the pit being hit. Below ground After digging hole, level and compact ground, place embedment refer to AS section to hold the determined weight. Connect pipe to the outer collar by glue or as per PVC type to inlet and outlet pipes to ensure there is fall to the inlet side of the Pit and fall away from the outlet side of the Pit. Vent pipe, just lubricate plastic PVC pipe with a waterbased lubricant, push plastic pipe into the rubber seal, the vent side must be ventilated will 100mm induct air vent or micaflap vent for air circulation. On top of the inlet and outlet pipe a inspection pipe must be connected to ground level with an air tight inspection type apparatus eg: inspection box. 1

Back fill material to be a clean granular type e.g. road base or 14 mm gravel not clay or plastic material to be used. Before lid or riser are fitted. Heights are to be checked for step height if needed. Lifting holes have to be grouted and sealed. Grease trap to be filled immediately after installation to ensure pit don t float Risers Lids Note Before placing Risers on top of Pits you must place a sealing joint between the Pit and Riser to prevent water leaking into the Pit. After placing Riser on top of Pit any exposed concrete must be Sealed with a Tar base paint. Before placing Lids on top of Pit you must place a sealing joint between the Lid and the Pit/Riser to prevent water leaking in to the Pit.
