3 Item Description Unit Qty Rate Kshs SECTION NO. 02 : MEASURED WORKS DEMOLITIONS AND ALTERATIONS - (ALL PROVISIONAL) Notes: i) The Contractor shall provide the method of carrying out demolition works to the Architect for approval. ii) iii) iv) The contractor shall meet all the costs of disposing the asbestos from the site including any statutory charges therein. The Contractor shall exercise necessary safety measures so as not to cause any damage to the existing structure and adjoining properties. Hacking or breaking of old concrete must be done and cleaned thoroughly before receiving new concrete all to the approval of the Architect v) Welding of column reinforcement, the old and new if it becomes necessary shall be approved by the Architect. vi) vii) A The Contractor shall note that all salvage materials shall be the property of the Client. The Contractor shall therefore carefully remove all components and set them aside for the Client to collect and store for re-use. The Contractor shall be responsible for carting away debris but upon approval by the Client representative.
