2 CECIL COUNTY, MARYLAND BID NO CALVERT REGIONAL PARK PHASE 2 SITE WORK Cecil County Government Purchasing Department 200 Chesapeake Blvd., Suite 1400 Elkton, MD ADDENDUM No. 2 June 20, 2017 REMINDER: Bids are due to the Cecil County Purchasing Office by 1:30 p.m. on June 27, A. Addendum No. 2 is issued as part of the Contract Document, to inform and/or specify changes, which take precedence over information contained in the original Contract Documents. Unless otherwise specifically noted or specified hereinafter, or shown on drawings or schedules accompanying this Addendum, all work required by this Addendum shall conform to the applicable provisions of the Contract Documents. It shall be the responsibility of the Respondent to include in their bid any cost implications of this Addendum. All Respondents are to indicate on the form of proposal submitted by them, acknowledgement of receipt and compliance with the contents of this Addendum No. 2. B. Any provision in any of the Contract Documents, which may be in conflict or be inconsistent with the contents of this Addendum, shall be void to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency. C. The following clarifications are provided based on questions received from bidders after the pre-bid information conference: 1. In the prebid meeting, you mentioned that a note regarding geotextile under stone and riprap was missing from Sheet F-ESD-21. Would you please provide the language of the note? The note missing from Sheet F-ESD-21 states, All geotextile under riprap or stone shall be SHA PE Type 1 nonwoven unless otherwise specified on the plan sheets. 2. Bid item #3 is a lump sum for clearing yet page says that the item will be paid for by the square yard. If this is correct, is there a quantity of square yards to be cleared? Bid Item 3 Clearing/Grubbing and Site Preparation shall be paid Lump Sum as indicated on the bid form. Page 1 of 2

3 CECIL COUNTY, MARYLAND BID NO ADDENDUM NO Any repairs needed to Brick Meetinghouse Rd due to earthwork operations are they incidental to the earthwork and if so is there a section of the existing roadway? Repairs to Brick Meeting House Road are not anticipated and do not need to be considered in the bid. The Contractor shall not run tracked equipment on Brick Meeting House Road. Any movement of tracked equipment between project areas shall be performed using proper over-road hauling (e.g. using a lowboy trailer). 4. Please provide additional specifications on barrier netting posts? Barrier netting posts shall be black DQ40 pipe with 4 O.D. and 13 in length. Posts shall be installed in concrete. Post holes shall be 10-inch diameter x 3 feet deep. Post spacing shall be 10 center to center. See attached photos of barrier posts used in Phase 1 at Calvert Park. 5. Please provide additional specifications on the entrance gates? Entrances gates shall be dual 14 x 3 (28 total length) black aluminum cantilever gates similar to the gates installed at the Calvert Park Phase 1 entrance. See attached photos. 6. Please provide additional specifications on the split rail fencing? Split rail fencing shall be two-rail extreme weather pressure treated pine similar to Calvert Park Phase 1 fencing. See attached photos. 7. Please provide additional specifications on the wooden guiderail? Wooden guiderail shall be severe weather pressure treated lumber with 6 x6 posts and 2 x10 rail. Posts shall be installed in concrete to a minimum depth of 3 feet. Posts shall be 6 center to center. Rail shall be lag bolted to the posts. See attached photos of wooden guiderail installed in Phase 1 at Calvert Park. 8. Please provide additional specifications on the swing arm gates? Swing arm gates shall be manufactured with SS40 pipe or approved equal. Gate post shall be sized accordingly for the length of the gate (3 OD minimum). Gate posts shall be installed in concrete to an adequate depth for the length of the gate (3 minimum). See attached photos of 12 swing arm gate installed in Phase 1 of Calvert Park.
