ALL CHANGES, ADDITIONS, AND DELETIONS SHALL BECOME PART OF THE AWARD AS IF ORIGINALLY CALLED FOR IN THE SPECIFICATIONS. The following list of questions and answers are for clarifications from questions. Q. 1: The revised scope of work section 3. States all power & low voltage terminations inside of the existing school building shall be installed on the interior side of the nearest exterior school building wall. (Max distance of 100 from the new portable classroom). It does not state our scope of work ends inside the building at termination point. A. 1: Scope of work ends inside of nearest exterior wall termination point. Q. 2: Paragraph 5, Cable Terminations-Interior of school. Includes low volt spec s, this leads us to believe we are to include inside the school. Are we including the low voltage work inside? A. 2: No 3 B-2 A.B for reference only Q. 3: Is the contractor ending the scope of work for power as soon as we enter the building? A. 3: Yes Q. 4: Is the contractor installing the quad cable, a mast w/ weatherhead, crimp on to copper conductors, enter building with conduit and wire, install a junction box inside the school. End of scope? A. 4: Yes, install the quad cable, a mast w/ weatherhead, crimp on to copper conductors, enter building with conduit and wire, and install a junction box inside the school. Remove Special Provisions, Section 3, Scope of Work Tasks to be Performed, from solicitation documents and replace this section with attached Section 3, Scope of Work Tasks to be Performed. 2. Remove the Business Proposal Pricing Schedule, Appendix C, page 28 and replace with attached Business Proposal Pricing Schedule, Appendix C (Revised), page Pre Proposal Meeting Attendees list. 3 Addendum #01 - RFP # SCOPE OF WORK TASKS TO BE PERFORMED Portable classroom trailers are classified into categories. The electrical and low voltage requirements for the portable classroom trailer categories are listed in paragraphs A and B. Detail drawings and specifications for each portable classroom trailer category are found in Master File Temporary Classrooms (Appendix G). The Pricing Schedule in Business Proposal (Appendix C) will include the tasks to be performed but not limited to the descriptions in paragraphs A and B. Contractor is responsible for obtaining and paying for all electrical and low voltage trade permits. Contractor is responsible for scheduling and receiving all inspections. All power and low-voltage terminations inside of the existing school building shall be installed on the interior side of the nearest exterior school building wall. (Max distance of 100 feet from the new portable classroom). A. Electrical Requirements for Portable Classroom Trailers 100 Feet from School Building 1. New Electrical Service Tied to Existing FCPS Electrical Service. Single Trailer One (1) Classroom 14 x 48 Section (100 amp service) Duplex Trailer Two (2) Classrooms 12 x 60 Sections (100 amp service) Quad Trailer Four (4) Classrooms 12 x 60 Sections (200 amp service) 2. Utility Poles Install two (2) class 6 temporary wooden utility poles to support electric panels, overhead power and low-voltage cabling. Utility poles shall be installed and spaced per National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements. B. Low-Voltage Requirements for Portable Classroom Trailers 100 ft. from School Building 1. Labeling a. All low voltage cabling shall be labeled at each end with location. b. All junction boxes must be labeled with contents per NEC. 2. Cabling Homerun - Interior of school building a. J-hooks shall be used to support all low voltage cabling. Cables must be securely attached to each J-hook. Space J-hooks per NEC requirements. b. All low voltage cabling shall have a plenum or dual rating. Any cabling used above ceilings must have the plenum rating clearly marked on covering. 3. Cabling - Exterior a. All low voltage cabling shall have an exterior use rating and be clearly marked on covering. b. All exterior rated low voltage cabling shall be terminated within 50 feet of entering the building.

When changing from plenum to exterior rated cabling ALL terminations must be done in an approved method (terminal strips, 66 blocks or 110 blocks) the use of WIRE NUTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. d. When installation will be above the ceiling, terminations must be done in an approved metal junction box. 4. Cable Requirements and Specifications for Each Classroom One (1) - 25 or 50 pair CAT5 cable (requirement to be determined by FCPS) One (1) - CAT5E yellow for wireless data cable location One (1) - CAT5E grey or white telephone cable (one (1) per classroom) Two (2) - CAT5E blue for data (2 per classroom) One (1) - Westpenn #25224B/ Westpenn AQC224 or equal for security (1 per 4 doors) One (1) - Westpenn #25359B/ Westpenn AQC359 or equal for sound (1 per classroom) One (1) - Westpenn AQC841 RG-6 or equal CATV cable (pulled to tap location) One (1) - Westpenn #25821 (plenum rated) #1110 (outdoor rated) RG-11 CATV homerun or between taps 5. Cable Terminations Interior of School a. All Cables must be plenum or dual rated and installed on J-hooks. b. All cables must be tested and free of shorts and or faults. Test reports shall be furnished for all fiber and data cables. c. Data cabling shall be terminated on existing patch panel. d. Telephone cabling shall be terminated on existing 110 block. e. Sound cabling shall be terminated at communication closet. f. Security cabling shall be terminated at communication closet. g. CATV cabling shall have the connectors installed on the ends of the cables and each cable labeled on communication closet end. (FINAL CONNECTION WILL BE DONE BY FCPS PERSONNEL) 6. Cable Terminations on Interior of Classrooms a. Telephone Cable (single line) shall be terminated on double RJ25C outlet. b. Data Cable shall be terminated on RJ45 (568A/B) outlet. c. Wireless Access Cable shall be terminated on male RJ45 connector. Access point furnished and installed by FCPS. d. CATV Cable shall be terminated at wall outlet and use compression type fittings suitable for the cable type and size used. Terminate other end at hub location. Tap location will be determined by FCPS representative. e. Security Cable shall be terminated at junction box(s) and door switch(s). Contractor must complete all cable connections. FCPS will provide a switch if no switch exists or is defective. Identify each end of cable with switch location.

5 Addendum #01 - RFP # f. Sound Cable shall be terminated at the call-back switch and speaker. FCPS will furnish speaker and call-back switch if no switch or speaker exists or is defective. Speakers are to be tapped at ½ watt. C. Terminations by FCPS Personnel 1. Security cable connections will be completed by FCPS at main security panels. 2. Sound cable connections will be completed by FCPS at main sound cabinet. 3. Data cables FCPS will install all patch cords to network switches and install wireless access equipment. 4. CATV coax cable FCPS will install taps and connect to CATV headend. D. FCPS Furnished Equipment Security door switches, call back switches and PA speakers will be furnished by FCPS if the existing are broken or missing on an as needed basis. All existing equipment in the classroom trailers shall be reused to the new cabling. All work shall comply with current National Electrical Code and Virginia Construction Code.
