2 President Note- It is a great pleasure to present to you the Annual report for Year which briefly describes the best practices applied and success achieved by organization s practices which have received Grants and other support from the different patrons. Krishak managed to use the support provided in a effective and efficient manner in the process of improving the well-being of the rural Population. There was significant development in this year in all areas of Krishak s engagement. It is heartening to see that our efforts have been significantly contributing in improving the livelihoods of people. This reinforces our belief that nothing can be more important than working on the land, water, agriculture and social development to address the issues of rural livelihoods. This year s major activities were interventions related to capacity Building & Training, Skill building training, operations and management of minor irrigation schemes, livelihood development of community dependent on forests, Improved agriculture with proper package of practice, Horticulture, Watershed Management, Crop Water Budgeting, Value chain, Health awareness, Institutional Building and formation & Mobilization of People s Organization. None of the achievements of the year would have been possible without the efforts of Krishak dedicated staff. The team has been committed to the aspirations and mission of Krishak and has been relentless in delivering solutions for clients and charities. My appreciation and thanks to our trustees, staff, donors and Partners. Finally on the behalf of the executive board members, I would like to thank all our donors, supporters and the villagers for their continued support. President

3 Krishak Seva Sansthan's mission is to develop an optimal mechanism for Rural Society, Especially disadvantaged sections, with Commitment for sustainable livelihood & Improved quality of life which is achieved through different developmental programmes & effective application of local resources in Association with community. Krishak Seva Sansthan believes in playing the role of Facilitator and Catalyst to enhance the impact of rural development programme through community based participatory approach.

4 About the Organisation The Krishak Sewa Sansthan (KSS) is a non-government Organization. It has been established on 23 rd March, 2005 by the General Meeting at Parbatsar Town. This Local NGO was formed according to the willingness of the Rural community people in a view to deal with the present socio-economic problems in different villages by means of good understanding and sharing the problems each other and to find out the best way of solving the problems through free discussion and people participation in the decision making and get-together under an umbrella of KSS Organization. KSS currently working with GOR with Watershed and Soil Conservation Department in this We are working as a Resource Organization in IWMP Project in this Project we are giving Capacity Building and Exposure visit to farmers and We are also Construction of Anicuut and Water harvesting System and Water Conservation Works in Rural area of Rajasthan, We are also Working with Rajasthan Forest Department in this project we are giving Livelihood Training in Forest area and also construction of Community Hall in Forest area and Capacity building of Farmers and Preparing of Village micro plan and We have also working with CSR agency for Rural Development work and construction of sanitation facility in school area.

5 Mission Our Aim:- "Dedication Towards Integrated Rural Development" Developing a sustainable mode for Human Development through multi-disciplinary efforts adopting the principle of three-d's- Devotion, Dedication, and Diversification. An optimal mechanism for Rural Society especially disadvantaged sections, with commitment for sustainable Agriculture, Livelihood & Improved quality of life which is achieved through different developmental program & effective working of local resources in association with rural community Vision To enhance forest area and livelihood opportunities of the forest dependent people and to cursive bio diversity by undertaking a forestation and bio diversity consecration measures contributing environmental conservation and socio - economic development of Rajasthan and Construction of Community Hall in Forest area. To develop into a state level and Block level resource Center for water resource development sector. To develop as a resource center for training and capacity building especially in Integrated watershed management program(iwmp) and other related activities for field functionaries of GO's/NGO's and Construction of Water Harvesting System. 6 To design and implement National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) in Rajasthan for enhancing Rural Economy. Construction of Community Sanitary complex and Individual Household Latrine in Gram Panchayat and Motivate to Construction of IHHL and organizing Rally and IEC activities at GP level and Panchayat Level and District Level Department Motivate to Urban area People Through Local Self Government Department Having good contacts, liaison and working relationship with NGOs/GOs and other leading institutions working for the cause of rural development & Forest development. As a Resource Centre offer consultancy and capacity building support to Government and other NGOs in the participatory technology development in Natural Resource Management (NRM). 10 Our Activity:- (Rural Area Development) Construction of Village Development Works under RFBP II (Rajasthan Forestry & Biodiversity Project Phase II) Rajasthan Forestry & Biodiversity Project (RFBP) is being implemented with the financial assistance of the Japan Bank for International Corporation (JBIC). RFBP aims at ecological restoration and biological upgradation of degraded forests and other lands including community land in Rajasthan. The Project the project was launched In March 2012 to April 2018 with objectives of restoring ecological status of Aravallis, conserve biodiversity, check desertification, improve moisture regime and protect infrastructure in the desert areas. It also aims at providing fuel / fodder grass, timber and non-timber forest products along with employment generation in the rural areas. The Project has the following major components In this year Krishak Sewa Sansthan has been allotted 25 Villages in Kuchaman and Parbatsar Block of Nagaur district under this project Krishak Sewa Sansthan Work for Rural Development Works for Water Conservation and Plantation work and integrated rural Development Works. We have Constructed Contour Bending and Percolation Tank and Gabion Structure and Check Dames and C.C. Road Works and Solar Streets Light Installation and Plantation work in rural area. And capacity building of Village Forest Protection and Management Committees (VFPMC). VFPMCs of 25 villages will be developed for effective implementation of project. SHGs and interest groups has been formed in 25 villages with focus on livelihood development through income generation activities and reducing pressure on

11 forests. In this year, we selected.villages in two blocks Parbatsar and Kuchaman In these villages, we built rapport with the community through regular meetings and camps. We formed Village Forest Protection and Management Committees (VFPMC) in all 25 villages and conducted capacity building trainings for their strengthening. 13 CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING PROGRAMMES Capacity Building Programme under Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) Krishak Sewa Sansthan has been involved in Training & Capacity Building programme of different stakeholders under watershed programmes and has concerned it as one of the main programme implemented by organization in past 7 years. We have been recognized as a resource institute for providing Training & CapacityBuilding programme of different stakeholders under watershed programmes by National Rainfed Area Authority, Govt of India, New Delhi & SLNA, Watershed development & Soil Conservation, Govt of Rajasthan, Jaipur for Rajasthan state. Krishk SewaSansthan has proven its capacity to undertake projects on such huge level also where large number of manpower and high level of administration is required. Under watershed development Krishak Sewa Sansthan has facilitated different stakeholders on

14 major issues like orientation training to WDTs, WCs, UGs & SHGs, Technical aspects in watershed management, watershed development guideline, community mobilization, Horticulture, Agro forestry, dissemination of vermiculture technology, Nursery Development of Medicinal & Horti Plants, Pasture Land Development, Animal Husbandry, improved agriculture, income generation activities, exit protocols, etc. Krishak Sewa Sansthan is having experienced multidisciplinary team to organize such training programmes. Staff is well equipped with communication skill, presentation skill, local area knowledge and dedication for their work. Different training modules have been developed for trainings which are update time to time. Staff is experienced to use participatory tools and various methods to assure active participation of the participants. Types of Trainings in IWMP Project Krishak Sewa Sansthan has its own Information Education & Communication material published in simple Hindi Language on different developmental aspects which are as below: 1. Kharif Phaslon ki Unnat Krishi Vidhiyan A booklet in Hindi which elaborates the different systems & practices for better production in Kharif Cropping. 2. Rabi Phaslon ki Unnat Krishi Vidhiyan A booklet in Hindi which elaborates the different systems & practices for better production in Rabi Cropping. 3. Swayam Sahayta Samooh (Prashikshan Pustika) A booklet in Hindi as a Training Guide for the formation & better operation of Self Help Groups. 4. Nursery Prabandhan A booklet in Hindi demonstrating the modus operandi of Management of Nursery.

15 5. Vermi Compost Jaivik Krishi Ka Adhar A booklet in Hindi describing Vermicomposting in easy language. 6. Jaivik Krishi Khushhaal Kisan, Vermi Compost - Prashikshan Pustika A booklet in Hindi to perform Organic Farming with Vermi Compost. 7. Phalotpadan Ki Unnat Krishi Taknik - A booklet in Hindi for Horticulture. 8. Pashudhan Prabandhan - A booklet in Hindi for Livestock Management. 9.
