1 HIGH PERFORMANCE ACOUSTIC INSULATING MATERIAL FOR A QUIETER ENVIRONMENT Excellent at reducing the transmission of airborne sound Enhances the insertion loss performance of pipe insulation Flexible, easy to install Mean sound reduction index R W : 28 db Free of lead, unrefined aromatic oils and bitumen Open cell structure effectively absorbs sound Relatively high density and high flow resistance works as a sound barrier (transmission loss) Reduces structure-borne noise transmission when used as isolation pads Vibration dampening from metal enclosures or ducts advanced insulation

2 ArmaSound RD: A material class for acoustic protection absorbing and damping high density and high flow resistance fiber free open cell structure with complex pore geometry allows for effective absorption of air-borne sound Your benefit: ArmaSound RD is a versatile acoustic absorber designed for use in a variety of different acoustic applications. A high performance sound absorber which offers additional barrier (transmission loss) performance and both vibration damping and de-coupling (isolation) properties. Delivering optimal performance at lower thickness than traditional materials, ArmaSound RD is a uniquely advanced open cell acoustic insulation material. With a peak absorption frequency determined by the insulation thickness and the material density ArmaSound RD can be engineered to target specific problem frequencies. Acoustic benefits Sound Absorption» Open cell structure with complex pore geometry allows for effective absorption of airborne sound across a broad frequency range.» Unique combination of physical properties allows absorption to be maximised at key nuissance frequencies. Vibration Damping and DeCoupling (Isolation)» Visco-elastic properties help dampen or deaden resonance effects in metal enclosures or ducting which helps to reduce associated re-radiation effects.» Reduces structure-borne noise transmission when used as isolation pads. Sound Barrier (Transmission Loss)» Relatively high density and high flow resistance offers an effective barrier to sound.» May be suitable for use as an alternative to complex foam barriers in multiple layers.

Application Areas HVAC Fan-coil units, duct linings, cabinet linings and chiller systems General Mechanical / Industrial Enclosures, and cabinet linings, reverberation control Gas & Oil Facilities Engine room and pipeline insulation Heavy Automotive Engine component lining and under bonnet insulation Enclosures The world is becoming noisier and noisier. Many noise sources cannot simply be switched off and this creates additional stress in our everyday lives. Noise is now one of the greatest environmental problems of our times. Noise protection is therefore becoming increasingly important in the workplace, in public buildings and in residential buildings. Besides the prevention of sanitary problems noise protection provides a better quality of life free from the stress that noise causes.
