2 ITERPA - Land Institute of Pará Created in October 8, 1975, the ITERPA is an indirect State Government administration agency, that enforces the agrarian policy. Mission To collaborate in the territorial arrangement and on the administration of the state agrarian patrimony expecting social and economical development, prioritizing to assure land access for family agriculture.

24 Requisites for Land Tenure Regularization Continuous possession; Effective use of the land for no less than one year for small properties and five year for Medium and large properties; Inexistence of opposition of a third part; Inexistence of other rural ownership rights; That he/she did not receive any other concession of land or any incentive from the agrarian reform program; An adequate use of natural resources.

25 Municipal Land Use Scanning Consists in scanning the whole municipal s territory identifying the land occupation (individual farmers, quilombola communities, protected areas, indigenous lands, urban areas, etc) Regardless the existence of property rights or compliance with environmental regulations using GPS (global positioning system) technology to build a land use scenario Propose a integrated land tenure and environmental regularization program.
