1 Zhengyang Hou University of Nevada, Reno Natural Resources & Environmental Science Reno, NV 89667, United States (+1) RESEARCH INTERESTS My general interests lie in the fields of sampling, statistical inference, spatial statistics, time series analysis, programming, GIS and remote sensing with LiDAR and optical scanners. In terms of applications, my research centers on addressing questions of the natural resource inventory, spatial-temporal modeling of important forest and ecological attributes, the succession and dynamics of interrelated patterns and processes in forest ecosystems, and the effects of climate change and land use/land cover change on forests using remote sensing. A recurrent theme in my research is the use of modeling and model-based inference to integrate information from disparate sources to improve prediction, estimation and consequential analyses that take associated uncertainties into account.
