2 Scope of Work The working group is expected to: Revise the base document related to Linkages between Protected Areas and Surrounding Landuses and adjust it on basis of the discussions undertaken; Overview regional case studies relevant to this theme, describe/document success and failure stories and elaborate common trends relevant to this theme in the Mediterranean; Review the Technical Paper on Action Plans and Initiatives for Protected Areas Management in the Mediterranean and refine it to reflect Mediterranean specificities; Provide additional input to possible Mediterranean gaps and opportunities based on the group discussions; Set a Mediterranean Vision and Strategy Orientations for linkages in the landscape/seascape concept based on the workshop deliberations; Suggest a Mediterranean side event for the theme of linkages in the landscape/seascape for Durban;
