5 Kharif 215 Evaluation of Pre-breeding Material Evaluation of forage and high biomass segregating material (F2s) (Kharif 215) 3 F2s belongs to 25 crosses were evaluated df for forage and high h biomass 34 single plant selections were made from 15 crosses and advanced to F3s In which, 21 selections are forage, 6 high biomass and 2 forage with high biomass lines Evaluation of forage segregating material (F4s) (Kharif 215) A set of 56 F4s belongs were evaluated for forage and high biomass 168 F4s were selected from 54 crosses and advanced them to F5s 27 forage selections and 19 high biomass selections were observed The following selections are very good viz., DSR K (IS 4966 x IS 14357); DSR K (IS 4972 x IS 14357); DSR K (IS 4997 x EJN 41); DSR K (IS 4134 x EJN 73); and DSR K (IS 4973 x IS 14357)

13 Potential trait specific germplasm identified d at AICSIP Akola, Dr PDKV One accession IC was observed with 22 number of leaves and also found desirable for other traits viz., dark green leaf colour, tan plant pigmentation and stay green trait Three accessions viz., IC , IC , IC 2898 and IC were found superior for grain weight (> 45g per plant) and 1 seed weight (> 3.4g) Nineteen accessions viz., IC 28855, IC 28859,IC , , IC , IC , IC , IC 28863, IC , IC , IC , IC , IC , IC , IC , IC , IC , IC 28915, IC and IC were observed with plant height (>3 cm) and grain weight (>4 g per plant)
