2 General Notes 1) CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS: Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects, FP03 U.S. Customary Units, shall apply to this contract. 2) Minor amounts of clearing and grubbing are required. Limbs, logs, & stumps may be scattered outside the clearing limits in the cut section area. 3) Maintenance for traffic will be the responsibility of the Contractor. Road closures will be accompanied by road detours in accordance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (2003) guidelines. This work shall be considered incidental to Pay Item 15101Mobilization. 4) Contractor is responsible for properly disposing of old culverts off of Forest Service lands. 5) Topsoil shall be stockpiled and reused on all slopes requiring seeding. Seed and mulch all disturbed gound. 6) Seed mixture: Big Bluestern, 10%; Sideoats Grama, 20%; Canada Wild Rye, 35%; Annual Rye, 10%; Little Bluestern, 10%; Indiangrass, 10%, Purple Prairie Clover, 4%; Blackeyed Susan, 1%. Seeding rate: lbs/ acre. 7) Trail is narrow, +/ 10 foot travel lane; single lane top from Drummond to FR ) Riprap around culvert shall be set approximately 50% below the surface. 8'0" MAX.
